Jiang ChengLi’s eyes darkened slightly. He gathered the hand that was tugging at the corner of his shirt in his palm and sat on the edge of the bed to look Shi Yu in the eyes. “Shi Yu, do you know who I am?”

The heat went to his head. Shi Yu reluctantly opened his eyes and looked for a long time before  he spoke in a condemning tone, “Jiang ChengLi.” Previously, whenever he was in heat, he would coincidentally appear beside Jiang ChengLi.

But now his mind was too confused to think deeply about why Jiang ChengLi always appeared so fortuitously.

Jiang ChengLi looked at his somewhat lax eyes. With a low voice he said helplessly, “You want my temporary mark, right?”

“Didn’t you…Haven’t you given it to me before?”

Jiang ChengLi stared at the side of Shi Yu’s face, emotions caged in his eyebrows, hard to discern. This situation, no matter how he looked at it, had the feeling of taking advantage of someone in danger.

Shi Yu’s mind was stirred up by the high fever, and all awareness and boundaries were scattered. He was forced to cry by Jiang ChengLi’s inaction and pulled his hand away from his fingertips with all his strength. “If you don’t want to give it, forget it. I’ll find someone else…”

His wrist was suddenly gripped by Jiang ChengLi. Shi Yu was dragged into his arms. Jiang ChengLi’s strength was much greater than his. He easily turned him over, held him in front of him, and then, not gently, bit the back of his neck.

The skin around the bite was stinging, but soon the cold frosty pheromones brought down the temperature. His hot center was covered by a handful of snow. The feeling of being soothed spread through his limbs.

Shi Yu shuddered, involuntarily let out a small sigh and fainted in Jiang ChengLi’s arms.

After the pheromone was injected, Jiang ChengLi slowly drew away his lips and teeth. He rained soft kisses on the delicate and silky skin of Shi Yu’s neck. He had never tried to do anything in this mood, but when Shi Yu fell into Lu Zhao’s arms just now he had barely controlled his desire to turn that alpha into an ice cube.

If it weren’t for the fear of scaring Shi Yu, Jiang ChengLi might have taken action.

He held the sleeping omega in his arms, lowered his head, kissed the end of his eyes and felt the residual warmth fade away. He held the person in his arms, and his voice was cold, “Falling into the arms of another alpha, then asking me to mark you. Do you think I am that easy to tease?”

But the omega just sank into a deep sleep, unable to give him any answer.

When the school doctor rushed back, all he saw was Jiang ChengLi as he stood by the bed and Shi Yu who was sleeping peacefully. The school doctor’s room had been sprayed with a blocking agent, and Shi Yu’s pheromones had been dispersed to nothing.

“I left him a temporary mark.” Jiang ChengLi said truthfully. “The situation was a little critical just now, so I got his consent.”

The school doctor nodded and didn’t blame Jiang ChengLi. After all, the student council president’s character was still evident to them. He would never do something that would force an omega. He observed for a moment and asked carefully, “I will take good care of him. Do you want to go back to class first, or do you need a blocker?”

“No.” Jiang ChengLi turned around and left with another comment. “If he wakes up and doesn’t ask, you don’t have to tell him I marked him. I’ll have someone send him the suppressant later.”

The school doctor nodded and sighed. He watched the alpha’s back as he left.

Shi Yu woke up after half a class. The discomfort had almost faded. Just as he sat up, the school doctor next to him handed him a cup of hot water. “Are you feeling better?”

“Much better.” Shi Yu took a half sip, listened as the school doctor told him the precautions and received a suppressant.

“If the date is uncertain, then it’s best to talk to your family and get two suppressants a month to keep on hand.” The school doctor gave him a sick note. “It’s best to take the day off. Go home and get some rest.”

Shi Yu said thank you, and left with the suppressant and the leave slip. When he returned to the classroom, the physics teacher nodded at him and told him to go back to his seat.

Lian Jing and He Huan both asked about the situation with concern. Shi Yu just shook his head and silently put the leave slip into his school bag. He didn’t need to take leave now, studying was more important.

He was distracted. It always felt as if he had forgotten something, but just couldn’t remember it at the moment. It wasn’t until the end of class, when Lian Jing asked him why he didn’t send a message when something happened, that Shi Yu remembered.

He had fainted in the aisle, was taken to the school doctor’s office by Jiang ChengLi, then had held his coat and begged for a mark!

Lian Jing was waiting for his answer, when he suddenly saw Shi Yu’s stunned and surprised face. He said with concern, “What’s wrong? Are you uncomfortable?”

Shi Yu shook his head vaguely and said nothing, then fished out his cell phone.

How could he have asked Jiang ChengLi to mark him at that time? How frivolous would it be for an omega to say such things to an alpha? Jiang ChengLi was his friend and he used him as a tool to relieve himself when he was in heat.

Shi Yu hesitated, but sent a message to Jiang ChengLi. [Sorry for the trouble.]

But his message wasn’t answered until the end of the school day. Jiang ChengLi seemed to be very busy. At the end of the school day, Shi Yu had just packed his bag when Lian Jing quietly approached his desk. “Shi Yu, I want to tell you something.”

“Yes?”

“You keep an eye on the President, someone is trying to pry you out.” Lian Jing appeared to be talking about a confidential matter. “I heard that the newly elected Student President has had a crush on Jiang ChengLi for a long time!”

Shi Yu wasn’t able to help from frowning.

“I heard that his pheromones are quite sweet and pear-flavored.” Lian Jing added.

It may have seemed gossipy to say that, but Lian Jing was really anxious. The reason was, that from the beginning of the semester, he’d found Jiang ChengLi and Shi Yu seemed to be going back to the kind of relationship they had a long time ago.

It was clear that they had taken a big step forward during the winter break and left their pictures, but now they seemed to be so far apart. Lian Jing let out a long sigh, “It’s so hard to fall in love with a student president.”

“What kind of relationship?” Shi Yu caught the key words. “Who is in love with Jiang ChengLi?”

“Huh?” Lian Jing said incredulously. “You’re asking me?” You, Jiang ChengLi’s partner, are asking me?

Shi Yu saw the change in Lian Jing’s expression and unconsciously stopped questioning.

“I’ll go back first.”

As he walked out of the school building, Shi Yu calmed down a little. He finally realized that something was wrong. It was as if everyone knew that Jiang ChengLi had another layer of relationship with him, but he himself didn’t know. Was he being concealed? Or was he being toyed with?

No, that wasn’t right. The idea was a bit absurd, not quite normal.

Shi Yu frowned, torn between the possible and the impossible. Just as he was walking to the school building, Shi Yu abruptly smelled a fine, frosty snow smell.

This was the smell of pheromones, and it was very familiar to him. The smell of winter.

He followed the track left by the pheromones to the half-buried music classroom, but paused before pushing open the door. Like a flashback phenomenon hidden in his memory, he felt as if he had experienced this same thing.

His intuition told him that after pushing open the door…he would see a small ice dragon.

So relieved JCL turned up in time. I feel a bit sorry for Lu Zhao, but he’s too pushy and won’t accept that Shi Yu isn’t interested.
With so many of his friends knowing about his relationship with JCL, Shi Yu is bound to find out soon, plus he already feels there’s something missing from his memory.
Thanks for translating and editing.

The school infirmary seems to run out of inhibitors often for a school that prides itself on putting omegas first lol
