“Jesus, who is this?” Luo XiaoLou stared. He couldn’t believe that the kind-eyed man in the portrait was related to Yuan Xi by blood, let alone Feng JiaLing and Yuan Lie.

Yuan Xi looked left and right with a taut face and finally admitted reluctantly, “…I don’t know either.”

“Don’t feel bad, after a thousand years, the portraits have changed from east to west, so there will definitely be some changes.” Luo XiaoLou advised carefully.

Yuan Xi didn’t say anything, and 125 who was poking his head between the two suddenly couldn’t help himself, “But, after the multi-dimensional restoration of the image, I think it looks more like my master…”

Yuan Xi and Luo XiaoLou both paused. Luo XiaoLou bowed his head and said, “Bring out the image you restored and we’ll take a look.”

125 lifted its hand, and three images appeared in its hand. After handing them to the two, it looked at the image excitedly, “That- that- if you guys are sure, can you give me this image?” Its eyes shone with emotion and he said happily, “I haven’t seen my owner in years…”

Luo XiaoLou and Yuan Xi were looking at the three pictures that 125 handed them, and they were even more surprised than by the portrait of the creator.

There were still some shadows of Yuan Lie at the tip; the third picture, on the other hand, was of a tall, closed-eyed young man, with features so perfect that they were astonishing, not to mention the muddled air. Even looking at him like this, one couldn’t help but long for him. If this person, standing in front of him, opened his eyes, how thrilling it would be.

Yuan Xi turned pale and squeezed the second picture hard, “It’s Yuan Che. He really is here.”

Luo XiaoLou, on the other hand, stared at the third picture stunned, not knowing why there was actually a sense of familiarity and affection in his heart, but he swore he had never seen this person before. Such a beauty, he certainly would remember having seen him before.

125, eyeing the two men, pointed to the third picture and said proudly, “This is my master. Look, I tell you, the portrait of the creator is his. Can- can I have it now?”

Yuan Xi narrowed his eyes, ever since seeing the second picture, he consciously ignored the other two, “Of course not, it’s clearly a portrait of Yuan Che.”

125 cringed, obviously it didn’t quite agree with Yuan Xi’s judgment.

Yuan Xi lifted 125 up by its tail, then lowered his eyes and asked flatly, “What? You have a problem with that?”

125 shuddered, and to show its backbone, it held its tongue: “……”

A minute later, 125 cried behind Luo XiaoLou, “Oh, no, I changed my mind! I was wrong! That must be His Highness the Grand Prince!”

Luo XiaoLou turned his head and looked at the dejected 125, who had been domestic abused by Yuan Xi, without the slightest intention of comforting it. If it had been him, he wouldn’t have confronted Yuan Xi. As 125 climbed onto Luo XiaoLou’s shoulder with his wounded heart, Luo XiaoLou took the first picture and asked in confusion, “And who is this?”

125 aimed at the picture, eyes round again, almost teary-eyed, said, “…looks like my brother.”

Luo XiaoLou looked at the picture in amazement and then compared it to 125 and was torn. Both were mecha, but the difference was too big.

However, Luo XiaoLou quickly came back to his senses and said to Yuan Xi, “It seems that we were right, at least roughly in the right direction. The creator is really related to Yuan Che, and maybe even to the owner of 125. Either way, we must go to the temple.”

Yuan Xi nodded, seeing Luo XiaoLou trying to put away 125’s master’s portrait, his brow furrowed slightly as he reached out and pulled all three drawings and the unrelated creator portrait over and put them away himself.

Luo XiaoLou and 125 dared not speak out, and followed Yuan Xi back to the city.

After supper, Yuan Xi went to the other side of the city, and Luo XiaoLou continued to improve his Spiritual Power and Source of Consciousness. In the last few days, his Source of Consciousness power had almost recovered, but recovering and improving were not the same. His Spiritual Power was also slowly improving, but the rate of improvement was definitely not as fast as the Source of Consciousness power recovery.

The two powers were similar in nature and similar in practice. Luo XiaoLou was familiar with Source of Consciousness Power, and the speed at which his Spiritual Power improved was already considered quite terrifying, but he just didn’t know it himself.

After consuming the two Level 2 Energy Stones, Luo XiaoLou slowly opened his eyes, feeling the ample Source of Consciousness power and the increasingly obvious Spiritual Power, then looked towards 125, “Yuan Xi is about to enter District A. Perhaps soon we’ll have a lead on his brother. It’s time for us to make some preparations.”

125 blinked, “I need more time for the potion but I’ll try to get it out before Yuan Xi takes part in the ancient martial arts tournament. You can already try to repair the ship, so find a suitable place to start tomorrow. But since your Source of Consciousness power isn’t strong enough yet, you can’t open what my master left you yet.”

Luo XiaoLou looked at the blue box again, thought of the 125’s owner, and wondered, “Is your master really here?” Yuan Che was here, and so was the owner of 125. Was there a connection between the grey hole and the exotic beasts?

125 stopped what it was doing and it moved apprehensively, “I can’t say, but I’m not feeling him or brother.” After the excitement, 125 began to worry if the owner would see that its upgrade was incomplete and force it to revert back to remodeling, and if so-.

It took one look at Luo XiaoLou, theoretically though that was still it, just a different personality, and it always felt like it would be a bit of a shame. Also, it was a bit sad to leave behind this weak foster caregiver.

Ah, God of the exotic beast, please forgive it, after spending so much time with humans, it had developed such abnormal thoughts!

The next day, Luo XiaoLou and Yuan Xi whispered about repairing the ship, and in the end Luo XiaoLou and 125 chose the Grey Rat Cave, both because no one was going to the Grey Rat Cave, and because it was now completely filled with snake vines, so they were safe enough.

Yuan Xi agreed and told Luo XiaoLou to rush to the Level 3 energy stone area to meet them at noon.

Because Yuan Xi had improved so quickly, he could now deal with Level 2 Guardian Beasts by himself, while Li Jay practiced until late at night every day and was not slow to improve, and when combined with Xiao Qiao, he would have no problem hunting Level 2 Guardian Beasts. If the three of them worked together, it would be a bit of a waste in the Level 2 area, so they discussed it and simply went to the Level 3 energy stone area.

Anyway, they had enough energy stones now, so they might as well take the opportunity to challenge the High Grade Guardian Beasts to improve themselves.

Luo XiaoLou also greeted the people who came to find him to upgrade their energy swords, and would be in the Level 3 Energy Stone Area in the afternoon, so he took 125 to the Grey Cave.

125 chose a deeper underground location, allowing the Snake Vine to clear a large space and drive the gray rats to the sides, then took the ship out of the space.

Although Luo XiaoLou had prepared himself mentally when 125 highlighted the ship’s exceptional beauty, he felt a little dizzy at first glance.

God, what did he see?

The ship that occupied the entire underground cavern was simply a diamond fortress, shining brightly from head to toe, as if it was encrusted with countless huge and beautiful diamonds.

Looking at the stunned Luo XiaoLou, 125 said proudly, “Isn’t it breathtakingly beautiful?”

“Mn, there’s definitely a feeling of suffocation…” Luo XiaoLou rubbed his forehead and mumbled. He couldn’t understand how in the world someone could have hobbies like 125.

The ship was obviously a high-grade civilian ship. It wasn’t as well-equipped as a military ship, but the owner had obviously taken great pains to prepare many high-grade weapons and protective plates.

The interior was also extremely luxurious, from the cockpit to the lounge, it was all gorgeous and exquisite. Probably during the war, the people had to abandon the ship and fled, leaving behind a slightly damaged ship.

Luo XiaoLou first went to the captain’s cabin to study the entire ship’s structure and equipment. In the process, he discovered that the ship’s outer shell was adjustable, and immediately chose to make the large diamond on the surface smaller and the background darker.

Soon, the exterior of the ship became a blue night sky with a star on top. Also, the outside of the ship looked transparent, and the inside could be seen outside, while the outside couldn’t be seen inside.

125 disagreed with this, but Luo XiaoLou strongly refused to change the appearance of the ship back to what it was.

Luo XiaoLou spent the whole morning studying it. With his theoretical knowledge of the mecha structure, it wasn’t too difficult for him to understand. The ship was mostly hard on the exterior. There was a gun port that had been hit that required more repair materials, and they needed to replace some weapons.

There were spare materials in the repair room. The hardest part was that Luo XiaoLou needed to change the power system of all the ship’s applied energy boxes to applied energy stones. After having a rough idea of what to do, Luo XiaoLou looked at the time and decided to start tomorrow, since it was already noon.

Allowing 125 to retrieve the ship, Luo XiaoLou went to the Level 3 area.

When he arrived at the entrance of the cave, the three of them were waiting for him: Yuan Xi was resting against the rock wall, Xiao Qiao had a look of admiration on his face, and Li Jay was looking left and right with Yuan Xi’s black soft sword.

When he saw Yuan Xi get up and throw all three Level 3 energy stones to Luo XiaoLou, Li Jay once again looked like his idol had been destroyed, while Xiao Qiao looked at him with envy in her eyes.

During the meal, Luo XiaoLou glanced at the food of the group. Yuan Xi had improved his ancient martial arts at an astonishing rate in the past few days, and his appetite was also larger than before. Yuan Xi looked down at the food, a little overwhelmed, because everyone around him maintained good table manners, so no one had treated him this way since he was a child.

Yuan Xi stared at the food for a few seconds, leaving the rice behind and picked some of the food to place into Luo XiaoLou’s bowl.

Luo XiaoLou looked at the shrimp in his bowl and could barely hold back the corners of his mouth from curling upwards.

Li Jay and Xiao Qiao were dumbfounded, and they bowed their heads and ate with great understanding.

After the meal, during a break, Li Jay asked Yuan Xi for advice, and he agreed, throwing his jacket over Luo XiaoLou, who was about to take a nap. He stood lazily in the middle, allowing Li Jay to attack with all his might.

Xiao Qiao was sleepy too, but she couldn’t bear to close her eyes.

Li Jay was now a medium-level disciple of the Yi family, and if he progressed any further, he would probably be chosen to join the group that was competing, which would give him a better chance, knowing that individuals rarely beat the groups that were competing.

Li Jay’s men were moving faster and faster, yet in the shadow of his airtight punches, Yuan Xi had his hands behind his back, as easy as an idle stroll. After ten minutes, Li Jay began to breath raggedly. But he didn’t let up at all, and he even struck faster.

Xiao Qiao’s eyes grew wide and her nervous breathing lightened until a man stopped beside her.

After so many days in the Yi family, a martial arts practitioner’s instincts were acute, and the fact that she could let someone be so close without realizing it showed how poorly prepared she was. Xiao Qiao turned white and looked to the side with a cold face.

When she saw the person next to her, she stared in surprise and almost screamed.

That person made a movement for her to stay silent, and then turned to watch Yuan Xi and Li Jay. It was the second young master of the Yi family, Ino. He was accompanied by many people, including Eva, who had just returned from District B. Eva stared at Yuan Xi, surprised and remorseful.

Xiao Qiao resisted the gasp of surprise and turned her head to continue looking at the two people who were sparring.

Li Jay was almost at his limit and held on for another two seconds before finally starting to weaken. At this instant, Yuan Xi made his move, a direct killing move.

The faces of the people around him all changed. Li Jay saw the hand that attacked his heart, bit his teeth, and actually bent backwards very fast to dodge it. But then, Yuan Xi moved faster and faster, literally forcing him into a desperate situation. Ten seconds later, Yuan Xi’s hand grabbed Li Jay’s throat, and Li Jay was no longer able to escape.

Eva screamed in a small voice.

After a moment, Li Jay opened his eyes, stunned, and realized that Yuan Xi’s hand had rested very close to his neck, seemingly dipping but not touching, and was now slowly withdrawing it.

The sweat on Li Jay’s forehead was trickling down, and only now did he remember that this was not a fight to the death. Rather, it was Yuan Xi instructing him!

Li Jay moved his mouth and finally said, “Thank you, big brother Yuan.” Only then did Xiao Qiao rush up to help Li Jay.

Yuan Xi just nodded, not looking around. In fact he had already noticed those people. Walking directly towards Luo XiaoLou who had his eyes closed, Yuan Xi moved extremely lightly to lean on Luo XiaoLou’s side in order to avoid waking him up.

Ino, on the other hand, looked at Yuan Xi for a few seconds before turning around and leaving.

Eva quietly asked as she looked back in Yuan Xi’s direction, “Second brother, I didn’t think he was that powerful! Who do you think is better, him or you?”

Ino considered for two seconds and said calmly, “It’s hard to say. He didn’t do his best just now.”

Eva was silent. What Ino meant was, even in the Yi family, Yuan Xi was considered a top expert! She had caused the Yi family to lose such an excellent talent, and she already regretted it. However, Yuan Xi’s weapons were far inferior to Second Brother’s, so it should be Second Brother who had a better chance of winning.

After the lunch break, Li Jay had completely taken on the role of Yuan Xi’s little brother. Yuan Xi looked at the people lining up in the distance waiting for Luo XiaoLou to upgrade their weapons. His face didn’t look too good, but he only whispered, “Right here, don’t go far away. Call me if you need anything.”

Luo XiaoLou nodded and waited until Yuan Xi and the others went inside, before turning to the people who had been waiting for a while.

The teenager came again and Luo XiaoLou raised an eyebrow. After yesterday, the teenager should have known he was a family man.

Luo XiaoLou ignored him and started helping the people who came over to upgrade their weapons. In the past two days, it was mostly people from Level 3 and 4 districts who came over. Level 5 district experts were extremely rare.

Luo XiaoLou didn’t look down on the low grade of the energy sword, nor did he charge high fees, so of course there were more people looking for him to upgrade their weapons.

Starting with the first person, Luo XiaoLou began to patiently upgrade. Before upgrading any quality sword, he would use Source of Consciousness and Spiritual Power to investigate the structure once.

He then compared them carefully, because each sword was not the same, so he learned the structure of an energy sword and looked for better and more powerful structures.

Finally, Luo XiaoLou’s pocket was full of energy stones and materials, and there was only one person left in the queue.

The last in line was an old man who Luo XiaoLou had seen selling clothes made from animal pelts in the trading area some days ago. However, most people could hunt on their own, so there were not many buyers.

Luo XiaoLou received the old man’s weapon. The energy sword was already a bit damaged and nicked, but the matching energy stone was not bad.

Luo XiaoLou touched the energy sword twice and said, “Old man, if you don’t need it urgently, I’ll give it to you tomorrow morning, okay? It’s already evening anyway, so I think you probably can’t go hunting after waiting for so long.”

The old man was a bit hesitant, but finally nodded, “Okay, young man, then I’ll wait for you here tomorrow?”

Luo XiaoLou took a look at the few materials in the old man’s hand, considered for two seconds, and said, “Actually, you can go to District D Qing Shi Road to find me, we rent there. In addition, I think, if it’s convenient, you can bring some animal skin clothes. I have enough materials, but don’t have many clothes and have been planning to buy some.”

The old man grasped the materials tightly in his hands. They were materials that could be easily sold, that’s why he brought them over in exchange for upgrading his weapons. As for clothes…the old man had a smile on his face, “Good, I’ll be there first thing tomorrow morning.”

Luo XiaoLou closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

Then the teenager standing next to him finally came over. He coughed and on realizing that Luo XiaoLou still hadn’t looked at him, he became a little frustrated and said out loud, “Hey! You’re so skilled- I mean- barely- if you want to consider going to District A, I can help you out and find someone to be your sponsor.”

Hearing District A, Luo XiaoLou opened his eyes and turned to look at the youth. He was accompanied by another youth, who was imposing at a glance, holding a high-grade energy sword in his hand.

The youth looked over at him and said with a smile, “Hello, we are friends of Ling Xiao. My name is Xiao Bu, and this is Dees, the son of the Chief Weapon Repairer of District A. We can indeed help you as a guarantor to enter District A. Would you like to consider it?”

It’s the little things between YX & LXL that I really enjoy reading. YX really is tender at times, but isn’t often comfortable showing it when LXL’s awake; he seems to think he’ll appear weak or be taken advantage of. Then he gets gruff.
LXL’s talents possibly opening doors again. Not without hubby though.
Thanks for translating and editing.
