When they reached the left edge, Rod and the others released several illumination lamps. The silvery white light instantly dispelled the darkness. One illumination lamp hovered above them while several others flew to the left, right and below.

Rod and the group had thought the left side was just typical rocks, then they realized something was wrong. As the light illuminated a larger and larger area, Rod and the others almost froze.

The screen in front of them showed the lighting automatically reaching back to the distant image. The uppermost left side did have some camouflaged, uneven rock walls, but a dozen meters below, the rock walls were smooth as a mirror.

Rod waved his hand. A man drove his mecha down. Not much later, came a message. “Sir, it’s not rock, it’s metal.”

Then, another person. “Sir, this metal wall. There seems to be an image on it,” the guard said as he directed a light to move to a new position.

The image that came back was instantly fixed, and with the prompting of the man who had just been there, the group soon discovered that inside the translucent metal wall, there were quite a few lines.

With the expansion of the image, those lines became more and more regular, and occasionally there were some inconspicuous bright spots.

Rod muttered, “It’s a star map–“

They soon found another shocking thing. While this small Federation planet had been abandoned for many years, an examination showed that the metal walls had existed for more than a hundred years, and the star map as well. Also, this star map was larger than the existing star maps of both the Empire and Federation, and even contained the star maps of secondary civilizations.

Rod quickly returned to his senses, and ordered one of his guards to leave quickly to report the situation to His Highness the Prince after he reached the surface. But before that guard’s mecha could leave, the left wall suddenly split down the middle and retracted into its four corners.

And what was behind the metal wall appeared before the group.

The video began to blur here, and was interrupted within two or three seconds. Then there was a loud explosion and the screams of the warriors were heard over their communication devices.

Yuan Xi and Xia Zuo looked at the last image with grave, dark faces. “There’s a machine behind the metal wall?”

Rod blushed, but replied quickly, “Yes, Your Highness. A machine so big that you can’t see the edge. And it was impossible to guess it’s purpose. But the moment it found us, a row of orbs appeared inside. Those ghost things quickly attached themselves to our mechas’ cockpit locations, then melted the mecha shells and entered the cockpits. All but me–“

“You mean, those things reached the ground with you guys?” Yuan Xi closed his eyes and asked in a chilly voice.

“Yes. The people outside were also killed.” Rod said gravely. “Before that orb thing came in, my AI set the crisis level to extreme, sent me into the safety pod, and then detonated itself.” It happened to be one of the Tier 6 bio-mecha Luo XiaoLou had made. It was the only AI that was still running when the thing started attacking, and it extended the battle to buy Rod time to escape.

“Xia Zuo, send someone immediately-” Yuan Xi didn’t finish his sentence, before Xia Zuo shook his head slightly at Yuan Xi, with a gloomy face.

“After Rod came back, I paid attention to the situation around that planet. Now it’s become very difficult for our people to approach again. The emissaries of that second-class civilization, Telles, arrived at the Federation and chose a stopping place that happened to be adjacent to that asteroid. For this reason, the Federation has sent a lot of additional troops near there.”

Yuan Xi narrowed his eyes, “Send someone over to monitor them. There is already a connection with that second level civilization there.”

“Then should we borrow His Highness the Prince Consort’s robot?” Xia Zuo asked.

Yuan Xi shook his head. “No.” Luo XiaoLou obviously couldn’t leave 125. Moreover, this dealt with the Empire’s virtual network. What 125 could get, other people could also intercept. Although the order to monitor had been given, Yuan Xi still felt that there was one place he had not noticed, and it was a very critical place.

Luo XiaoLou looked around in confusion when he woke up. He didn’t see Yuan Xi’s sleeping face, so he glanced about out of habit, only to see Luo ShaoTian was sitting next to him.

Now he remembered that he had arrived at the military headquarters in Luo ShaoTian’s car, and couldn’t help but smile awkwardly.

Luo ShaoTian opened the car door, took a look at the messiness of Luo XiaoLou’s clothes and his face, and said, “Go in. You can go to Yuan Xi’s office to sleep for a while if you haven’t rested well. If he doesn’t allow that, my place is usually unoccupied.”

Luo XiaoLou immediately blushed and refused. “No. I, mn, am also not so sleepy. Besides, the mecha R&D department has a lot of things to do there.”

Luo ShaoTian frowned, then nodded and turned to leave after entering the military department.

125 examined his AI record with surprise. For two minutes just now, he actually didn’t record anything. Mind you, he didn’t have the habit of sleeping during the daytime. When he thought about it, 125 looked at Luo XiaoLou, and was worried. This habit of sleeping lazily shouldn’t be contagious, right?

At lunchtime, Luo XiaoLou came out of the workroom, put nine Tier 7 mecha space buttons on the desktop, and then walked towards Yuan Xi’s office. Because of the Jin family, part of his identity was completely exposed. It was probably only a matter of time before the other identity, that wasn’t acceptable to people, was revealed. He wanted to ask what Yuan Xi what he was planning to do about the future.

Luo XiaoLou swept the communication device at the door of Yuan Xi’s office, and the door opened silently. But after he entered, Luo XiaoLou was stunned to find that Yuan Xi was sleeping.

Presumably, Yuan Xi’s office had been set up so that Luo XiaoLou could come and go freely, so the control system didn’t ask Yuan Xi’s opinion when Luo XiaoLou came in.

Except for a few mornings and evenings, Luo XiaoLou rarely saw Yuan Xi asleep, let alone lying on a couch. Yuan Xi always looked like he had endless energy.

Luo XiaoLou lightened his footsteps, and stopped in front of the sofa.

Yuan Xi’s features were already very perfect. When he slept, he didn’t have his usual cold and domineering look, so he looked even better.

The corners of Luo XiaoLou’s mouth involuntarily curled up and he bent down slightly. Yuan Xi’s eyelashes were very long. They gently covered his eyes, and cast a small shadow. Straight nose, thin and perfect lips…

Luo XiaoLou was dazed for several minutes. Then he saw Yuan Xi’s eyes slowly open. He hurriedly pulled away some distance and asked, “Did I wake you up?”

After Yuan Xi opened his eyes, the angelic image in front of him disappeared. He frowned unhappily, his black eyes carrying a hint of anger.

Luo XiaoLou took a small step backward, and looked at Yuan Xi cautiously.

Yuan Xi indignantly pursed his lips. Luo XiaoLou entered the door when he knew what would result and they weren’t in bed. The guy peeked at him for half a day, but Yuan Xi didn’t dare to do anything else.

“First, accompany me to eat.” The two went to the small hall next to each other, and during the meal, Luo XiaoLou asked about the matter of his identity.

Yuan Xi gave him a look. “You don’t need to worry about that. I’ll take care of it. Since I dared to marry you, I will definitely not let you be blamed for anything.”

When he saw that Luo XiaoLou wanted to say something, Yuan Xi asked, “Do you still remember the Human Shadow Clan?”

Luo XiaoLou thought about it and said, “The wilderness clan people who wanted to marry you to their princess?”

The corners of Yuan Xi’s mouth curled up vaguely. “Yes. I plan to pick them up first. People with high level Spiritual Power can be hard to command. At this time, those monsters’ spiritual interference is very powerful. The Human Shadow Clan can restrain this. I discussed it with the clan leader of the Human Shadow Clan. After people accept the human shadow race, I will slowly let them accept you. In addition, you haven’t been running outside much recently.”

Luo XiaoLou nodded. “The situation isn’t good?”

“The corresponding battle plan has already been formulated for the first wave, and the Tier 6 mecha have already been put into use. I think next, we will slowly change the disadvantage.” Yuan Xi said.

At the same time, Luo XiaoLou’s communication device rang. He looked down twice and was obviously a little happy. “Tian Li and Yates are coming over.”

So many questions, so much happening.
I have a strong feeling this metal structure and whatever is behind it, were in cahoots with Duke Moga/Teles and LXL’s parent’s generation, bringing about the war and hatred between people and Exotic Beasts.
YX protecting LXL is great; if only he’d be less overbearing towards him.
Thanks for translating and editing.

So 125 didn’t record ShaoTian taking XiaoLuo’s blood. I really don’t like it because I don’t know what ShaoTian or the one behind him, be it his father or some other force, is planing to do to XiaoLuo.

I thought the author completely forgot about that asteroid tribe of SP users. I guess I was wrong.

As for Rod’s mission I hope the 2nd level civ. won’t be able to harness that corroding orbs, otherwise losses might be even larger.

Thank you for the chapter!!!
