Two people fell asleep under the stars and woke up together in the morning light. Nan HuaiLin couldn’t think of anything happier than this.

After cuddling and making out for a while, they got up and washed up.

Fei Cheng squeezed out some toothpaste, and said seriously, “Wife, after breakfast I will mention the marriage to my parents-in-law, so hide for a bit then. Don’t let father-in-law hurt you again.”

Nan HuaiLin asked, holding back a smile, “How are you going to propose, ah?”

Fei Cheng said, “Just mention it directly. Straight to the point. Straightforward.”

Nan HuaiLin asked, “What if my dad doesn’t agree?”

Fei Cheng pondered for a moment, and said with a serious face, “Then I will have to elope with you.”

Nan HuaiLin almost choked on the toothpaste froth, but quickly rinsed his mouth, wrapped his arms around Fei Cheng’s waist, and said with a smile, “Actually, my father already gave me the family register last night.”

“!!!” Fei Cheng stared at him. “Really?”

“Really,” Nan HuaiLin said with a smile. “Aren’t I great?”

Fei Cheng still looked incredulous. “Then why didn’t you tell me last night?”

Nan HuaiLin said, “I was afraid you would be too excited to sleep.”

Fei Cheng laughed out loud, held Nan HuaiLin’s face and kissed him all over his face with toothpaste foam.

“Stop it,” Nan HuaiLin laughed as he ducked. “Someone will see us!”

The sink was right next to the window, across the alley from the neighbor’s balcony.

Fei Cheng was extremely excited. “Hurry up! Bring your family register and let’s get married!”

Nan HuaiLin raised his hand to wipe the toothpaste foam from the corner of his mouth, and said with a smile, “Today’s Saturday, so the Civil Affairs Bureau is closed.”

Fei Cheng’s mood took a dive. “So we still have to wait two days?”

Nan HuaiLin nodded, “Yes.”

Fei Cheng was angry. “Why does the Civil Affairs Bureau not work on weekends? This system is too unreasonable, I want to complain!”

Nan HuaiLin rubbed his face, and said with a smile, “Let me take you out for a couple of days. You said you’ve never been to Suzhou, and we have a lot of fun places there.”

Fei Cheng nodded sullenly. “Okay.”

“Lin Lin,” Geng XiaoRong’s voice came through the door. “Breakfast!”

“Right away!” Nan HuaiLin responded, then urged Fei Cheng. “Hurry up and brush your teeth. Your father-in-law and mother-in-law are waiting for you.”

Fei Cheng hurriedly rinsed his mouth, quickly primped himself from head to toe and he was a handsome and dashing man again.

Compared to Fei Cheng, Nan HuaiLin was much more casual. He wore a home sweatshirt and shorts, and his hair was not styled, but still exuded a lazy handsomeness. He and Fei Cheng standing together was simply pleasing to the eye, they were a perfect match.

Nan ZunShan and Geng XiaoSong were blindsided by their son and son-in-law early in the morning. Both were a bit uncomfortable. Since it was their first time as parents-in-law, they didn’t really know how to go about it, not knowing whether they should be milder or harsher, colder or warmer.

Fei Cheng took his seat and smiled. “Dad, Mom.”

Geng XiaoRong smiled awkwardly but didn’t agree.

Nan ZunShan coughed, and said with a stern face, “You’re quite eloquent.”

Fei Cheng was still smiling, but there was a faint sadness in his eyes.

He said in a low voice, “My parents passed away when I was very young, and my brother raised me, so I always envied those who had parents. I thought they were really happy, unlike me, who only had a bad-tempered brother who would beat me up at the drop of a hat.”

Nan HuaiLin, “…”

Nan ZunShan, “…”

Geng XiaoRong, “…”

Nan HuaiLin didn’t know if Fei Cheng was now possessed by a drama queen or a real person, so he didn’t know what reaction to give. He quietly surveyed the faces of his parents, who both seemed a bit distressed.

Geng XiaoRong gave Fei Cheng a golden fried doughnut, and said with a smile, “Let’s eat.”

Fei Cheng said, “Thank you, Mom.”

Geng XiaoRong paused and gave an “Ai,” as an answer.

Fei Cheng winked at Nan HuaiLin without moving, and a sly smile appeared on his lips.

Nan HuaiLin wanted to laugh, but didn’t dare to, and hurriedly lowered his head to eat.

After eating breakfast, Nan HuaiLin said goodbye to his parents and took Fei Cheng out to play. Both of their faces were too conspicuous, so they both wore hats and sunglasses.

After they left the building, Fei Cheng asked to hold his hand, but Nan HuaiLin dodged. “No, we can wait until we get out of the alley. Do you want to ask my cousin to join us?”

“No,” Fei Cheng refused flatly. “I just want to spend time with you. When my brother comes back with the dragon kids, it will be impossible to spend time with you.”

“By the way,” Nan HuaiLin remembered Fei Zheng’s phone call last night. “Your brother called you last night and I answered it. He said that you should pack up the house in the Yanxi villa area, so the little dragons could be kept there.”

Fei Cheng nodded. “Then we’ll go back to Beijing after we get the marriage license. Did he tell you when he’s coming back to China?”

Nan HuaiLin said, “He said a week later.”

“Just as I expected,” Fei Cheng said. “I’m glad I didn’t stick around with him, otherwise I would’ve wasted this precious time.”

Nan HuaiLin asked, “Aren’t you worried about the dragons at all?”

“No,” Fei Cheng said. “My brother will take care of them.”

Nan HuaiLin said, “Your brother used to raise you, and now he’s raising your sons. How can you be so mean to him?”

Fei Cheng smiled and said, “How can I make my parents-in-law feel sorry for me if I don’t sell some misery?”

Nan HuaiLin said, “By the way, your brother doesn’t know that we’re getting married, right?”

“I haven’t had a chance to tell him yet,” Fei Cheng took out his cell phone. “I’ll call him now.”

The call was answered quickly.

“Brother,” Fei Cheng said. “I’m going to register my marriage with Nan HuaiLin.” After a few seconds of pause, Fei Cheng added, “That’s it, I’m hanging up.”

Nan HuaiLin was confused. Wasn’t this call a little too fast?

“What did your brother say?” He asked.

Fei Cheng put away the phone. “He said, ‘Okay, I got it.'”

“…” Nan HuaiLin said, “Your brother’s so cool.”

Fei Cheng put his long arm around his neck. “Don’t compliment other men in front of me. Not even my brother.”

The two of them were walking along the river, laughing and talking, when a cruise boat passed by and Nan HuaiLin asked, “Do you want to take a boat? There’s a dock right over there on Shantang Street.”

Fei Cheng nibbled on his ear and said, “I want to drive the boat.”

“No lewdness in broad daylight.” Nan HuaiLin pushed his face away. “Mr. Fei Cheng, please behave properly.”

“A dragon’s nature is lustful, don’t you know that?” Fei Cheng chuckled. “Mr. Nan HuaiLin, please get up.”

“So do you want to take a boat or not?” Nan HuaiLin’s tail end was raised. He was unknowingly pampered.

Nan HuaiLin usually didn’t pamper himself, but only when he was overwhelmed in bed, his voice softly begged to be let go. Whenever this happened, Fei Cheng only wanted to ravage him more fiercely, to make him cry, but he couldn’t, so he always ended up answering his requests.

“Sit, sit, sit,” Fei Cheng said. “We’ll do what you say, we’ll do what you say. Husband will listen to everything you want.”

Nan HuaiLin gave a chortle, and said with a smile, “Let’s go then.”

Fei Cheng held out a hand. “Lead the way.”

They had already walked a long way by now, and Nan HuaiLin thought they wouldn’t run into anyone they knew, so he took Fei Cheng’s hand in a generous manner. Holding hands, the two walked from Shantang West Street to Shantang East Street, arrived at the cruise terminal and went to the ticket window to buy tickets together.

Nan HuaiLin said to the ticket lady, “Two tickets.”

“No,” said Fei Cheng. “I want to charter a boat.”

Before Nan HuaiLin could stop him, he heard the ticket lady say, “Sorry, all the tickets have been sold out. Why don’t you wait for the next one?”

Fei Cheng looked up and saw that there were indeed a lot of people lined up not far away.

“Baby, wait here.” After saying that, Fei Cheng walked quickly towards the line.

Although he wasn’t far away, Nan HuaiLin couldn’t hear what Fei Cheng was saying to the people, but he quickly ran back and told the ticket lady, “I’ve talked to them and they’re willing to wait for the next boat. Please give me the package for the one that’s about to leave, thank you.” With that, he drew out a card and handed it over, and Nan HuaiLin tried to stop it too late.

“What did you say to them?” Nan HuaiLin asked curiously.

“I’ll tell you when I get on the boat.” Fei Cheng said with a smile.

After buying the tickets, the cruise ship left at the right time.

Fei Cheng took Nan HuaiLin’s hand to the boat, and the group erupted in cheers, while Nan HuaiLin kept his head down, afraid of being recognized.

After getting on the boat and finding a slightly more spacious seat, Nan HuaiLin couldn’t help but ask, “What did you say to those people?”

Fei Cheng smiled and said, “I told them I was going to charter a boat to propose to my boyfriend, and they happily agreed.”

Nan HuaiLin was speechless for a moment. “…Dragon with a heart of gold.”

The cruise ship had already left the pier, Fei Cheng directly took him into his lap and hugged him, tilting his head and kissing Nan HuaiLin.

In the late spring of April, the breeze was beautiful, the flowers on both sides of the shore were red and green, the scenery was picturesque, and the sound of soft commentary drifted in, singing the famous “Qin Huai Jing.”

Nan HuaiLin sat in Fei Cheng’s arms, kissing tenderly and lovingly, romantic and sweet.

After the kiss, Nan HuaiLin said with a slight gasp, “Did you charter the boat just to do this? It’s a waste of the beautiful scenery outside.”

Fei Cheng said in a hoarse voice, “Even the best scenery isn’t as nice as you.”

“You’re so bad.” Nan HuaiLin turned his head to look out. “Although I grew up along the Shantang River, it’s the first time I’ve been on a cruise ship. I really don’t feel the same when I’m on the boat as when I’m on the shore.”

Fei Cheng didn’t want to see the scenery. He wanted to see his wife and felt that he couldn’t get enough of it.

Nan HuaiLin held up his phone to take pictures. After taking pictures of the scenery, he turned the camera to the front and leaned back to take a selfie next to Fei Cheng’s head.

When his head was turned, Fei Cheng kissed him on the face, which was captured by Nan HuaiLin.

Nan HuaiLin looked at the photo and liked it very much, but Fei Cheng wasn’t happy and confiscated the phone and started kissing him again, until the cruise ship docked.

Nan HuaiLin complained, “If you’re going to do this all the time, we might as well just go to the hotel and get a room.”

“That’s a great idea,” Fei Cheng responded positively. “Let’s go now.”

“You can go by yourself,” Nan HuaiLin turned his head and walked forward. “I’m going to Guanqian Street to eat something good.”

“That’s fine,” Fei Cheng said with a smile. “I’ll eat you after you’ve had your fill.”

Nan HuaiLin was furious. “You big lecherous dragon!”

With how lastful Fei Cheng is, I bet they’ll have at least three of four more dragon egg nests in the future. I love how Nan HuaiLin keeps him in check.
Thank you for the chapter!!!
