Nan HuaiLin was confused for two seconds, turned his head and Fei Cheng looked at each other, but neither of them spoke.

Fei Zheng inclined his head to look at Ruan Xin, “Wait for me here.”

Ruan Xin nodded, “Okay.”

Fei Zheng took the lead and walked towards Lancelot’s room. Fei Cheng followed, holding Nan HuaiLin’s hand. Just as they walked past, the door slammed open again and Lancelot rushed out, ignoring the three people walking to the door and brushing past them.

“Little Blue…” Nan HuaiLin called out, but Lancelot ignored him, so he hurriedly nudged Fei Cheng, “Quickly follow him.”

Fei Cheng nodded, and quickly followed Lancelot, while Nan HuaiLin followed Fei Zheng into the room.

Fei Zheng opened the door of the incubator as if nothing had happened, took out the dragon egg, examined it carefully for a moment, put it to his ear and listened for a while, then put it back carefully and said, “It’s okay, don’t worry.”

Nan HuaiLin was slightly relieved, “Then when will it hatch?”

Fei Zheng shook his head, “I don’t know.”

This kind of simple and concise way of speaking without any explanation was sometimes a real headache. Nan HuaiLin knew it was useless to ask again, so he had to say “Oh” and follow Fei Zheng out.

Ruan Xin was the only one in the living room, standing there quietly, staring fixedly into the void somewhere. Perhaps it was his illusion, but Nan HuaiLin vaguely felt an air of sadness and despondency flowing from Ruan Xin, which he had felt since the cocktail party.

It wasn’t until Fei Zheng approached that Ruan Xin became aware of it and looked back at him suddenly.

“Let’s go.” Fei Zheng said.

“Okay.” Ruan Xin answered.

Nan HuaiLin walked them out.

Fei Zheng got into the car and Ruan Xin stood in front of the door, smiled and said to Nan HuaiLin, “Bye.”

Nan HuaiLin waved at him, “Bye.”

After watching the car disappear into the night, Nan HuaiLin turned around and went back into the house.

Fei Cheng and Lancelot had gone somewhere and he walked around but didn’t find anyone, so he went upstairs and looked in the dragons’ rooms first – all four of them were sleeping soundly. Dragon 4 was the funniest, burying his head under his wings like a bird in bed. He  then went to his room to take a shower, but halfway through Fei Cheng came in and took off his clothes, showering with him.

“Where’s Little Blue?” Nan HuaiLin squeezed the shampoo into his palm, smeared it out to lather evenly into Fei Cheng’s wet hair, and rubbed it gently, “Is he okay?”

Fei Cheng put his hand on Nan HuaiLin’s mermaid line and stood obediently with his eyes closed, “Yes, he’s fine, just a bit frightened by the sudden sight of Ruan Xin.”

Nan HuaiLin was silent, “I remember you said that Ruan Xin looks exactly like the person your brother used to love, right?”

“Yes.” Fei Cheng said.

“It’s only natural that Lan would be shocked.” Nan HuaiLin paused, “When he saw Ruan Xin…  He must be very desperate, probably so many years of persistence and expectations collapsed in a flash.”

Fei Cheng didn’t say anything, Nan HuaiLin pulled him under the shower head, rinsed the foam off his head, as Fei Cheng wiped his face, then looked at Nan HuaiLin and said, “I think, Little Lan may have to give up.”

Nan HuaiLin nodded, and after a moment of silence, said, “I feel that Assistant Ruan is also acting weird, he hasn’t been very happy. Is something wrong?”

Fei Cheng shook his head, “I’m not sure, I’ll ask tomorrow. By the way, what did my brother say after seeing Dragon 5?”

Nan HuaiLin replied, “He said it’s okay, and not to worry. I asked him when Dragon 5 will hatch and he said he didn’t know, he didn’t say anything else.”

Fei Cheng said, “My brother won’t say a word about things he’s not sure about.”

Nan HuaiLin sighed, “All we can do now is to wait.”

Fei Cheng touched his face, “If my brother says it’s okay, it will be okay, don’t worry.”

Nan HuaiLin smiled and nodded, “Yeah.”

After washing for a while, Fei Cheng turned off the faucet and pulled a towel to dry Nan HuaiLin from head to toe, and wiped himself off haphazardly, then carried him to bed, kissed him tenderly, entered soothingly, moved gently, before they fell asleep together.

In the morning, Nan HuaiLin was woken up by Fei Cheng, and grunted uncomfortably and complained while mumbling, “I don’t want it in the morning…”

Fei Cheng kissed the back of his neck while putting his hand out in front of him, “You really don’t want to, huh?”

Nan HuaiLin grabbed his mischievous hand, “I want to pee, I can’t hold it.”

“I’ll carry you.” Fei Cheng kept the negative distance contact and carried Nan HuaiLin to the bathroom, only to put the person down in front of the toilet and let Nan HuaiLin step on his feet to stand.

“Go out first…” Nan HuaiLin blushed with shame, “I can’t pee like this.”

“I don’t want to go out,” Fei Cheng pouted, “you can get used to it for a while.”

Nan HuaiLin tried to get used to it for a long time, and it took a long time to pee.

Fei Cheng buried his face in his neck and smothered his laughter.

Nan HuaiLin was annoyed, so he used a little force, and Fei Cheng couldn’t laugh anymore, just repeatedly apologized, “Wife I was wrong, relax.”

After finishing, Fei Cheng carried him back to bed and continued the morning exercise.

When the exercise was over at exactly seven o’clock, Nan HuaiLin asked with a low gasp, “Are you making a point?”

Fei Cheng laughed and said, “I’ve learned from my mistakes.”

He slowly turned the negative distance into a positive distance, kissed Nan HuaiLin’s face and said, “Lie down for a while, or it’ll run out. I’ll go and bring Dragon 2 over.”

Nan HuaiLin obediently lay on his side, half of his face buried in the pillow, and he was red from face to neck.

After a while, Fei Cheng returned with a newly awakened Dragon 2 in his arms, who flew into Nan HuaiLin’s arms and enjoyed his breakfast milk with his eyes closed.

“Where are they, Dragon 1 and the others?” Nan HuaiLin has now largely adapted, thanks to Fei Cheng, who was even more milk-hungry than Dragon 2.

“They flew off to play.” Fei Cheng leaned over and kissed him, “I’ll go take a shower first.”

“Hmm.” Nan HuaiLin answered.

Because the curtains were drawn, the morning light couldn’t enter. A table lamp was lit at the head of the bed, and the warm yellow light spread gently.

Dragon 2 nestled in the crook of his arm to eat milk, and Nan HuaiLin gently stroked his smooth scales, a little drowsy. The sudden ringing of the phone startled him.

Reaching for the phone, he glanced at the caller ID and saw that it was Man Tianzhu.

“Sister Xiaozhu.”

“Did I wake you up?”

“No,” Nan HuaiLin coughed twice, “I’ve been awake for a while.”

Man Tianzhu said, “You’re going to shoot the cover this morning, haven’t you forgotten?”

“No,” Nan HuaiLin said, “We’re going to Sanlitun SOHO, right?”

“Yes,” said Man Tianzhu, “I’ll pick you up at 9:00.”

“Okay.”

After hanging up the phone, Nan HuaiLin put down the phone and studied Dragon 2’s dragon horns.

Yesterday, he hit the mirror and knocked the left horn out of shape, but today it had almost grown back to its original look.

Nan HuaiLin lowered his head and kissed his little head. Dragon 2 opened his eyes to look at him, and then closed them again.

Fei Cheng came out of the bathroom with a bath towel and saw Dragon 2 still nestled in Nan HuaiLin’s arms, and while wiping his hair, he said, “Still not full?”

“Maybe he’s hungry today.” Nan HuaiLin said, “By the way, how are things going at the studio? Do you need me to do anything?”

Fei Cheng opened his closet to look for clothes, “It should be up and running next Monday, you don’t have to do anything. Husband will take care of everything for you.” He took out a light green shirt and compared it to his body, “How about this one?”

Nan HuaiLin said, “You look good in anything.”

Fei Cheng took off the bath towel around his waist and threw it aside, “Does it look better without it?”

Nan HuaiLin raised his hand to cover Dragon 2’s little head, “It looks good, run around naked.”

Fei Cheng bent down and put on his underwear, “No, I’ll show you alone.”

Nan HuaiLin said with a smile, “Mr. Fei, you’re wearing what looks like my underwear.”

Fei Cheng looked down and smiled too, “I wondered why they were a little tight.” He didn’t take them off, but put on his pants and shirt.

Dragon 2 had had enough and was napping on his arm.

Nan HuaiLin said, “Why don’t you take your son downstairs, and I’ll go back down after I wash up.”

Fei Cheng picked up Dragon 2, gave Nan HuaiLin a kiss, and carried him downstairs. Nan HuaiLin got up and went to wash up, brushing his teeth while taking a shower.

After brushing for a short while, he suddenly felt a wave of nausea and hurried to the sink, bending over and dry heaving.

After the first experience, Nan HuaiLin knew it was the onset of the pregnancy, but this time it came a little earlier than the last time, and he thought it would take some time to settle down. Now his parents were coming to Beijing tomorrow, and they would be suspicious if he vomited and felt nauseous constantly.

When the nausea subsided, Nan HuaiLin rinsed his mouth and looked up at his face in the mirror. Even he felt that he looked amazingly good, almost to the point of seduction, and he was indeed seemingly getting younger and younger, now he looked like a teenager of 18 or 19.

The two pregnancies had changed him so much in appearance, and if he had three or four pregnancies, he would probably turn into a demon.

Then after washing for a while, Nan HuaiLin dried his body, put on his clothes and went downstairs.

Fei Cheng followed him, hugged him from behind, buried himself in his neck and sniffed, “It smells good.”

Nan HuaiLin turned around to face him, “I just had pregnancy vomiting.”

Fei Cheng rubbed his stomach, frowned and asked, “Is it uncomfortable?”

“Yes.” Nan HuaiLin said, “According to my last experience, the vomiting period will take at least half a month, and I’m afraid my parents will be worried when they see it. Why don’t we let them come back after a while, what do you think?”

Fei Cheng nodded, “That’s fine, you’re not going to the US until the 10th of next month to shoot a movie anyway, and it’s still early, so it’s not too late to have your parents come over after the National Day.”

Nan HuaiLin said, “Then I’ll call my mom after breakfast, and you can also tell your brother.”

Fei Cheng nodded, “Okay.”

Coming out of the room, Nan HuaiLin went to the kitchen. Lancelot was washing dishes, and Nan HuaiLin went over to help, carefully checking his expression.

“I’m fine,” Lancelot suddenly spoke, with a smile on his face, “you don’t have to look at me like that.”

The stronger he pretended to be, the more heartbreaking it was.

Nan HuaiLin couldn’t help but reach out and hug him, “You’ll definitely meet the right person.”

Lancelot was silent for a while, with tears in his eyes, but his face was smiling. He looked at Nan HuaiLin and said, “I will meet the right person, but it will never be the best one.”
