Does it bother you when someone gives a story 5 stars on NU but then when you read the review it comes across like a 3 star story because of all the problems or dislikes they list?
A: Yes because I’m trying to use this as a way to judge whether to invest in a story. This is almost as frustrating as nonsensical or deceptive summaries.
not really. because each person has their own cup of tea.
if it turned out that i don’t like the story, either stop reading, or continue just to know the ending.
i don’t really look at the ratings anyway. mainly depend on the description and tags to decide if i will read it or not.
No, because I don’t read the high rated reviews when looking. I do it in reverse and read the low rating reviews, to see if their gripes are all about the same things, or like the reasons I end up disliking novels. Having said that, if a novel appeals to me, I’ll give it a go regardless.
yeah. sometimes you miss a pearl because of comments of some childish people who are not able to read the tag correctly and sometimes you loose your time, you just want to cry and put fire to your computer.
