Do your parents know you read BL?
Addis: Kind of? They know but they kind of us ignore that’s what I do. In their heads, at least my mom and setp dad, I only read raunchy romance novels. They always gloss over the fact that they are gay romance novels and try to convince me to ad DBZ manga and regular romance novel add to the site thinking the people who are my fans like ‘mainstream’ things like that.
My dad and stepmom don’t know but that’s because we don’t talk much and I’ve never brought it up. However, they’d be like, oh cool.

If my mom knew I read BL she will probably cry, because sheās super religious so I try my best not to let her know, as for my dad Iām not sure how heāll react but I do know for a fact that he doesnāt like it.

Not really? I don’t really try to hide it, tho. It’s just weird to talk about it to my parents. She does know I like to read. I have a bookcase full of books after all. I read anything as long as they’re interesting, not only BL….

I’m a parent myself but I let my daughter know and she laughed at me she admired me for being so open-minded.

Absolutely not! My mother is a narrow minded person. Even when I worked already, when I watched romance movies with kisses, she said what kind of movies are watching? But when she saw me watching animation, she said what age are now, still watching cartoon? So, never in my life I will tell her. My father has separated from us long ago and we didnāt contact much. My big sister didnāt know. My 2nd sister knew, but she didnāt care much.
Been reading romance novels since I was 12 years old. I’m 37 now. I think this question really only pertains to people 18 and under. Lol
