Xi Ran didn’t take Huan Xiu’s words to heart, but rather he thought, ‘master has such a special ability’. If Huan Xiu knew that he was so powerful in the eyes of his lover, he would probably laugh out loud again.

After calming down for a while, Xi Ran regained his normal state. But Huan Xiu could clearly see that the other’s mood had lightened up, and the depression that had been there for some time had been swept away.

“I’ll put away the flowers.” Xi Ran suddenly remembered something and picked up the bouquet of flowers he had been holding tightly in his hand, ready to find a vase to put them in.

Xi Ran placed the greeting card that Huan Ye had given him in his nightstand as if he was going to wait until tomorrow to read it. Huan Xiu sat and watched him work, then suddenly thought of something, and hesitated for just an instant before deciding to reveal everything today.

“Xi Ran.”

“What is it, Master?” Xi Ran immediately turned around and listened to Huan Xiu with great attention.

“There’s something I want to tell you.”

Xi Ran was surprised by Huan Xiu’s serious expression. Since he had just been reassured, Xi Ran unprecedentedly did not think in a pessimistic direction and just sat in front of Huan Xiu with his ears cocked.

“Master, please speak.”

“There’s something I’ve never revealed to any Zerg before. I think it might be time for me to tell you. I hope you can keep it a secret for me once you know, even from Xiao Ye.”

“Okay.” Xi Ran nodded, agreeing without any worries.

Huan Xiu laughed bitterly, “Beforehand, you might not believe it… because this fact is too abnormal.”

Xi Ran, anxious that Huan Xiu had questioned his trust in him, stood up and formally covered his chest, swearing that he would believe everything his Master said.

Huan Xiu ‘pushed Xi Ran down’ and said, “I know… Sit down and listen to what I have to say.”

Naturally, the secret he wanted to tell was only one thing – that he had transmigrated to this world from a human planet to replace the original “Huan Xiu”.

Huan Xiu and Xi Ran were so close together that he was confident that he would not be afraid or leak the information to outsiders. Keeping secrets forever was easier said than done, but in reality, it was much more painful than expected. Even if you have only one person to share your secrets and past with, it’s a relaxing experience.

In the private environment of his bedroom, Huan Xiu was very relaxed. He started from the place where he was born, talked about the time of the disaster, and then told the story of how he was affected by the explosion.

Even though it was a bit confusing, Xi Ran got nervous when Huan Xiu mentioned this.

Huan Xiu patted the back of Xi Ran’s hand and told him to relax, “Aren’t I here now?”

Next, he quickly went into how he passed out, woke up with the feeling of drowning, and then that’s how they first met.

“Maybe it’s destiny,” he said. Huan Xiu didn’t believe in it, but it didn’t stop him from making a love story out of it.

“Let me process this information…” Xi Ran was processing Huan Xiu’s story, but it was so out of the ordinary that he had to digest it a bit.

“I know it’s unbelievable.”

Xi Ran leaned closer and studied Huan Xiu’s face, “So is this what Master originally looked like?”

“This body looks exactly like the original me, and the name is exactly the same… really like seeing a ghost.”

“Then… Master won’t go back one day, will you?” The first thing Xi Ran was worried about was this, “Will the original male Zerg appear again?”

Huan Xiu shook his head, “I don’t think so. He should have died in that suicide. In the other world, my body must have turned to ashes in the explosion, and I don’t think I can go back.”

Xi Ran was slightly relieved to hear that.

“So… Master doesn’t actually have any love for the inferior female?”

“Yeah,” Huan Xiu shrugged his shoulders and smiled, “You still care about this.”

“…More or less.” Xi Ran tilted his head slightly.

“Then you can rest assured that he’s just a stranger to me. And he’s not my type at all.”

Huan Xiu saw Xi Ran’s somewhat confused expression and had to explain to him about the distinctly different gender types on Earth and here. Obviously, after he described it, Xi Ran was in an even greater shock than before when he heard that he was from another world.

“The females of Earth are such creatures…” Xi Ran was confused. “Far different from us…”

“Ah, but I don’t like women… The females of the earth. Simply put, it’s called homosexuality.” Huan Xiu hastened to clarify.

“Homosexuality… is rarely seen here,” said Xi Ran, suddenly regaining consciousness and getting nervous again, “So, does Master prefer male Zerg?”

“…It’s not like that.” Huan Xiu was getting more and more bent out of shape and felt like he couldn’t even jump into the Yellow River to get clean.

Huan Xiu spent several minutes explaining to Xi Ran that the Zerg, whether they were female, inferior female, or male, could be categorized as ‘male’ on Earth and that he simply preferred the strong and healthy type.

“Talking about my preferences so bluntly is a little…” Huan Xiu cleared his throat.

Xi Ran didn’t feel embarrassed at all, but smiled reassuringly at Huan Xiu’s description, “I see. I see.” Xi Ran then cautiously asked Huan Xiu whether he had any previous marriage partners, and naturally, Huan Xiu readily stated that he had dated one or two, but they all ended in break-ups.

The word ‘break up’ was unfamiliar to the Zerg community, or perhaps they did not understand the word ‘dating’ properly. It’s not uncommon for them to get married without knowing each other or even having an introduction.

“What did they do to upset you…?” Xi Ran asked tentatively as if to avoid making the same mistake.

“It was more like I was upsetting people,” Huan Xiu couldn’t help but laugh. “People there were more fickle and impatient. It was hard to concentrate on the person in front of you and there were a lot of trials… Imagine if in this world male Zerg bonded with male Zerg, wouldn’t it cause problems?”

“I haven’t seen this… The fertility rate is already so low that the government won’t allow it,” Xi Ran thought for a moment and replied, “It might be possible for them to get along with each other while married to a female attendant and a concubine separately…”

“Polygamy isn’t popular there… That’s the problem. Sometimes one party wants children, but humans… At least I can’t accept a partner going to bed with someone else to have children.”

“…We don’t want to accept it either,” Xi Ran stated in a somewhat muffled voice, “but it can’t be helped. Most Zerg are like that…”

After spending most of the time after confessing the truth about transmigrating then expounding on sexual orientation, Huan Xiu felt their focus was skewed as well.

“So you can imagine, in my previous life, there was no option of having an heir, so naturally I didn’t have any expectation of one. So don’t pay too much attention to the medical checkup you had before.” Huan Xiu brought the topic back up again.

“Master had a hard life before, didn’t he?”

Huan Xiu paused for a moment, he had only been in this world for a few months, and yet it felt like a world away. Life on Earth was very relaxing, at least until the end of the world started. Even the problems that had bothered him before were insignificant in the face of the collapse of the world. After struggling for about half a year, he, as a technician, at least had a secure life, even then it was depressing. So after coming to this world he wanted to live a stable life and cherished this daily life.

“It’s actually not bad,” Huan Xiu smiled and said, “I’ll never let you do that in the future.”

“I will never let Master suffer anymore.” Xi Ran suddenly sat upright, reached out and took Huan Xiu’s hands in his, as he said the oath.

“Look at you, like I’ve been so miserable before.” Huan Xiu smiled, but happily came forward and kissed Xi Ran’s lips, “But thank you.”

They finally talked about everything they had been hiding, and it was probably the most peaceful night’s sleep they had had in years.

Awww (๑¯∀¯๑) gosh I love them~ I really like that both secrets are out of the bag now, especially the transmigration one. It’s so nice when partners are informed about sth as immensely significant but literally out of this world as transmigration. I always appreciate that 😀

I love how Xi Ran was more surprised about human gender and whatnot than he was about the actual transmigration.

Totally worth having a chapter that’s just sitting in bed discussing important things and strengthening a relationship. It’s like a gentle rain. It cleans and makes everything better. Love this story!

I like how there’s a whole chapter dedicated to the coming out ( ´ ♡ ` ). Especially with them interacting back anf forth. Other novels are just short, and some, take the secrets to the grave. It do be sad though that homosexuality isn’t accepted here since there are huge birth problems. With the dwindling population and ‘every child is precious’ ,discrimination still runs rampant 😞
