We received quite a head tilting email/comment while I was sleeping.
First of all, talking about people dying and comparing that with this, that’s just plain disrespectful to those people and if you feel bothered by it (which anybody should) you should do something to help them instead of using them as shitty excuses for your lame ass comment. People are out there fighting for their countries, their rights or even at home fighting with just trying to stay alive in this fucked up world we live in.
When we release manga or novels, it’s with the intent to let everyone with real life problems can escape, even if it’s just for five minutes. Bringing up a war to, what, tell us we have no reason to fight for our work is not right? You’re the one in the wrong for bring it up in such a manner.
We all have day jobs (except those who are still in school). We are doing this for FREE. And if it weren’t for groups like ours, you wouldn’t be able to read your mangas for free.
Also, there are groups out there that no longer share their work due to disrespectful people. If you don’t like the way EXR does things, or you feel that we are being overly agressive, feel free to not read our scans. Better yet, learn Japanese and buy the original manga yourself (like EXR does) so you no longer have to depend on scanlation groups.
I think it’s funny they think we don’t have day jobs. Like, what, we just sit there and stare at mangago all day so we can bitch?
And why would I be up at 2am to make breakfast for 40 people? Cuz I’m bored? Cuz I have nothing better to do?
Since I have no “day job”, I guess I’ll sacrifice a normal sleeping schedule to be passive aggressive about the work I do in my free time and not care about the wars going on in the real world.
Just because you’re mad about the passwords gives you no right to be an asshole to us. So fuck off, I’ll stay fucking aggressive.

Their argument is so poorly constructed that I chuckled a bit. Just because there are wars going on does not mean that people aren’t allowed to be angry over relatively less severe, daily life situations. “Oh, you’re mad that this and that happened to you? Well, stop being mad because there are wars going on and people are dying!” The comparison doesn’t have equal value.
The same argument could be spit back at them. Why don’t *you* get a day job if *you* are so unnecessarily concerned over things occurring on the Internet?

I wonder why this person called Addis etc are being too aggressive. We should be grateful that we could read many manga and novels in English with regular updates without paying anything. The least we could do to show our gratefulness and respect is by following EXR rules. I’m sure other people would be angry if their rules for any kind of events are being broken so it’s normal for Addis to become stricter with the rules.

… 😦 if people had to do their own fucking translations they’d realize how hard and time consuming it is, and yet they tell you that “it’s not a big deal” of course it seems that way to someone who hasn’t ever done the job, they think that you finish translations in just a few seconds and then post like it’s nothing and and then whine about someone taking it.

I may not be in a war between countries or religious groups but I’m fight for my life everyday dealing with cancer. EXR’s daily translations have been one of my joys to keep me fighting everyday, and I’m so thankful that there are great groups of people out there who dose this for free.
EXR, you guys may not know the amount of joy and hope you bring to those like me, but I wanted to let you know that looking foreword to each day for a chance to read your translated chapters has helped me going.
To those that disrespect EXR, wars ARE fought everyday everywhere. They do not always involve guns and weapons of mass destruction. So please do not take away one of life’s joy from us who fight daily for our lives by your unkind thoughts and words.

Whoever wrote that clearly doesn’t have a “day job” and should get a life. I rarely comment ’cause I’m more of a lurker but I can’t let this one pass. Translating is difficult. One doesn’t just simply find the ‘equivalent’ of a certain character or word in another language but must also successfully get the very essence of work while staying true to the original to what the author is trying to convey.
Anyway, keep up the good work EXR. Me and my friends are supporting you guys from the shadows. Just continue to ignore those idiots because they clearly have nothing better to do with their depressing lives and have negative IQs. 🙂

I love this scanlation group BECAUSE it is so aggressive and I understand why. More over, reading such a disrespectful comment, I am grateful to this scanlation group for being so patient, tolerant and merciful.
EXR shares their works for FREE to us, so shouldn’t we abide to their rules, they don’t have much rules tbh, isn’t that awesome!? yet some people still ungrateful, and even if they locked their manga, it’s only for 12 hours and if you don’t want to bother with the password you can wait till it got spread out, but you don’t have the patience, you don’t appreciate their works, and you don’t have anything nice to say to them, so you better be silent honestly..

Totally agree that people shouldn’t compare things. If someone is having a bad day but someone had an even worse day we shouldn’t disregard the former.
I feel like this person is trying to express how there is a focus on the negative fans whilst the more positive fans don’t get the same type of attention(?).

This group is one of the most active, top quality group I have ever follow in my decades of internet surfing. I really can’t understand what all these attacks is based on. What made people became so entitled to be such ungrateful to a group doing hard works for free?
I’m pretty upset by that comment as you have have the nerve to compare yaoi scans to the war? I’m a military brat, I’ve SEEN what it has done to my father. I will gladly tell you stories of what hes seen on that battle field if you feel the need to compare this to war.
On another note please dont stop scanning. I appreciate it alot that the titles are coming out and keep coming out. Because it really gets on my nerves when a scanning group completely stops in a series for no reason. None.
