We received quite a head tilting email/comment while I was sleeping.
First of all, talking about people dying and comparing that with this, that’s just plain disrespectful to those people and if you feel bothered by it (which anybody should) you should do something to help them instead of using them as shitty excuses for your lame ass comment. People are out there fighting for their countries, their rights or even at home fighting with just trying to stay alive in this fucked up world we live in.
When we release manga or novels, it’s with the intent to let everyone with real life problems can escape, even if it’s just for five minutes. Bringing up a war to, what, tell us we have no reason to fight for our work is not right? You’re the one in the wrong for bring it up in such a manner.
We all have day jobs (except those who are still in school). We are doing this for FREE. And if it weren’t for groups like ours, you wouldn’t be able to read your mangas for free.
Also, there are groups out there that no longer share their work due to disrespectful people. If you don’t like the way EXR does things, or you feel that we are being overly agressive, feel free to not read our scans. Better yet, learn Japanese and buy the original manga yourself (like EXR does) so you no longer have to depend on scanlation groups.
I think it’s funny they think we don’t have day jobs. Like, what, we just sit there and stare at mangago all day so we can bitch?
And why would I be up at 2am to make breakfast for 40 people? Cuz I’m bored? Cuz I have nothing better to do?
Since I have no “day job”, I guess I’ll sacrifice a normal sleeping schedule to be passive aggressive about the work I do in my free time and not care about the wars going on in the real world.

I do not know if saying dont worry about entitled people, makes me also entitled. The thing is that sometimes fans doesnt react well, but that shouldnt keep you apart from your goals and the things you love (related to scanations or not). Enjoy life as much as you can. The whole point of comics, movies, TV shows and any sort of fiction IS escapism. People want to escape their real life for a short moment because it’s our nature. As for EXR, I want to say thank you for all your hardworking in translating novels and manga for us all. I definitely appreciate it and like you guys said, you do it to let people escape from real problem. Definitely a de-stresser for me. Thank you and continue what you are doing.

First of all I say thank you so much for you hard work, I know you guys spend part of your free time to share your projects with people like us (those who don´t know japanese or chinese, etc). A dictionary definition of “entitled”. Some people think like this is your actual job and your duty is to bring them your work in timely manner and…for free. They don´t realize that you´re not paid (not even by them) for what you do.
Just do it the way you want, your community = your rules.
Woah, that person is a little whiny brat and they’re really disrespectful and need to get that they can’t act out to get what they want. I don’t think you guys are in the wrong or being aggressive at all if anything EXR, you guys, are a bit on the passive side. I’ve been around for a while and I’ve seen how aggressive some scans groups can really get and you guys passwording the files for a little while is going easy on us. It’s really like using kid gloves to get the message across to the transgressors to wait the 12 hours. I don’t think people know how good it is. I know of a scan group that hides their password in their release post and you would have to follow them just to figure out the pw because there was not hints, bold faces or anything. There wasn’t even a question so the you could figure it out and if you didn’t know it you couldn’t read it the release. There was also another scan group that was releasing projects but also slowly dwindling their member list down because their rules weren’t being followed. Today they aren’t accepting new members and are still releasing to the trusted members they haven’t locked out of their community. There a bunch of groups who have also closed their community and are still releasing and I haven’t seen any of the releases updated on online viewing sites so it’s been working.
So to the complainer, be glad EXR isn’t like that. Grow up and act like a respectful person because you might just push them to do it and other groups may just follow in example.
