In the lush forest, the sound of heavy objects pounding the ground was constantly heard. The wind was not natural either, it mixed with countless branches and leaves and blew in a radial manner. At about one meter above the ground, there was a gray dust wave, and in an instant a thick gray tentacle broke out of the dust wave and swept towards the sky with thunderous momentum.

The fire-red mecha, surrounded by the tentacle, quickly dodged its attack, pulled out the lightsaber and turned around quickly. Only a red light flashed in the sky; the next second, the monster’s still dancing tentacles were severed, half of them rolled to the ground, still actively wiggling, as they sprayed out large pools of blue mucus.

The monster roared angrily, and its eyes became more indignant at the fire-red mecha floating in the air. The tentacles under its huge head were ready to grab at the red fire at any time.

Delia was staring at the hologram in front of her without blinking. After seeing the monster’s eyes getting more and more angry, she manipulated the mecha to get close to the monster again, and then quickly input the command on the operation interface. The fiery-red mecha suddenly appeared in the distance.

The monster opened its mouth and let out a roar. Finally, it couldn’t help it, all the tentacles under it became like the tide, rushing towards Delia!

Delia’s bright green eyes flashed, “Now, No.1, No.3 and No.5 attack its back, and immediately withdraw as soon as you hit it. Remember, everything is based on your own safety! Once you detect any danger, whether you have completed the task or not, you must withdraw immediately!” She said, whilst quickly inputting instructions, her fire-red mecha flashed, moving more than 20 meters in the sky, now all the attention of the monster was on her. She moved and the monster turned a little, danced and clapped its tentacles, insisting on beating her from the sky.

Three mechas appeared in the treeline behind the monster. Without exception, they all had lightsabers in their hands. Huge steel feet stepped on the ground, raising light waves of dust, and even the ground began to vibrate slightly. However, compared with the movement caused by the monster, it was like a needle falling into a noisy market, which would not attract any attention.

What’s more, its attention was not behind itself.

Three lightsabers wrapped in blue and white light flashed in a bright arc in mid air, and fiercely cleaved the monster’s unprotected body, immediately tearing three narrow wounds. After chopping the monster to the ground, the three mechas did not stop in the direction of their original appearance, and quickly jumped back more than ten meters.

The defenceless monster in the back was cut down again. It screamed, turned around and started chasing another team of mechas who attacked it. But the result of this was that it was attacked by other mechas again.

Delia watched as the creature became more and more distracted by the sneak attacks and couldn’t pay attention to all the movement around it. She did not want to face the revenge of the monster. She glanced at the bright green interface, and her white fingers slid open the hidden page in the lower-right corner, and clicked the confirm button.

“Sword of judgment, confirming use. Please wait a moment: 10%…… 30%…… 70%…… Ding, the energy supply is finished. Starting to change mecha form… Loading mecha.” 

Originally standing still in the air, the fire-red mecha put away the lightsaber in his hand, and its body constantly pulsed with red light. Then, some parts of its body began to separate and floated in the air. The main limbs of the mecha quickly began to fold and change, after all the parts integrated, there was a bright light in the sky holding a large red sword.

Then, it aimed the sword at the top of the monster and fell vertically. The huge sharp blade hit the huge head of the monster until only the upper hilt was left.

The monster made a deafening roar. It wanted to reach out its tentacles and pull out the huge sword that had been stabbed into its head. When its tentacle was about to touch the handle of the sword, the whole body of the giant sword suddenly burst with a strong light, and its whole body was surrounded by blue and purple. The electric light continuously coiled and rolled on its body, and finally injected into the monster’s huge body.

The monster’s eyes immediately turned white from the electricity, and the tentacles all over its body began to shake uncontrollably.

Tens of millions of volts of high-voltage current constantly ran through the monster’s body. The monster’s skin began to crack and burst with blue mucus, it struggled for a few seconds, and then slowly lost its vitality. The original bright red eyes turned into a dim gray-red.

When the monster stopped moving completely, the giant sword inserted on the top of its head returned to its original appearance and jumped off.

Delia had just jumped to the ground, and her adjutant’s voice came from her ear piece. “Colonel Delia, you’ve set a new record, and our cleaning time is ten minutes shorter than the last monster. We’ve cleaned up twenty of these monsters in our week on Alpha. Your record, in all teams, is first.”

“Tiffy, these monsters are not hard to deal with. What I’m worried about is the one that attacked us once before and has not been seen since- that monster with nearly human intelligence.” Delia’s eyes narrowed slightly, and there was a trace of dark light in the green color. 

Since landing on Alpha, they had been attacked once by a monster that had its tentacles evolved into sharp toothed mouths, and had never encountered a monster with the same evolution since.

An enemy in the light was not terrible. What is terrible is that, eventually, the enemy who hides in the dark will show its claws.

Ye Shao sat by the fire, and its light caused light to leap on his face. Beside him, there was no one else.

The other fires were surrounded by soldiers, by contrast, his side was particularly cold.
