The courtyard was quiet for a moment, and the old man who had remained silent looked up at the young man with a cold glance. It was sharp and ruthless. The young man shuddered. He couldn’t even muster up the courage to meet the old man’s eyes.

Angrily, he turned his head to the side, grunted, and wished someone would get rid of that guy too.

But none of them moved.

Now there were a few people in the courtyard who weren’t happy. He was just the one who came out on top. It’s not a crime, even if it is the law.

Besides, his older brother was the head guard…

As he was thinking this, the door was pushed open with a bang and a teenager walked in. It was Dees.

He scanned the courtyard before turning to the young butler, who wiped his sweat, “I did send him here. There were so many people arriving that I assumed he was here for the Royal Maker’s Selection.”

Dees raised his voice and asked, “Has anyone seen the last man who came in?”

All the people in the courtyard were startled, and though the servant had spoken, many of them looked at the young man who had snitched.

At this point, the old man rose, went behind the tree and picked up a bundle, and offered, “He has been taken. This is what he specified to give to the prince. May I ask, who are you?”

Dees’ face changed, “I’m Dees from the Ling family. May I ask for an explanation of what you just said about Luo XiaoLou being taken away?” Then Dees turned to the butler behind him and ordered, “Please, I’d like to see what happened.”

The old man described the characteristics of the person who had captured Luo XiaoLou and the direction in which he had left, then handed the not-so-light package to Dees. He had planned to give the bundle to the prince’s close friend or someone in charge of the tournament, but the old man was worried that the night would be long and something would go awry. Since this person was a member of the Ling family, which had always been the second prince’s lineage, he should be able to handle it. Besides, the package wouldn’t go missing if it was handed over in full view of the public.

Dees lifted a corner, and when he saw what was inside, he turned pale before wrapping it again.

The butler brought the video over as well, and the scene in the courtyard replayed clearly in front of the people.

The young man’s face slowly paled until ashen. When Dees looked at him for the first time, he coldly rebuked, “Your Shi family is really something, using such means of eliminating the opponent is really sharp. However, he was the prince’s guest. If something happens to him, your entire Shi family wouldn’t be worth enough to pay for it. Also, the weapons he makes are all Rank 10, or even 11, and you’ll never reach that level in your life, no matter how jealous you become.”

After Dees finished speaking, he gave the young man a dismissive glance and left with the package in his arms.

The people in the courtyard were already screaming, “Eleventh level! He’s so young!”

“He’s a real genius…”

“It’s a good thing he’s not in the competition or we’d all have no hope…” said one man comfortingly.

But no one was consoled. Rather, they were even more frustrated, the difference was too great!

The young butler pursed his lips and said with a straight face to the young man who had been terrified by Dees’ words, “For the sake of the investigation, I’d like to ask for your cooperation.” With a wave of his hand, two expressionless guards came to stand on either side of the young man and led him out of the courtyard.

Luo XiaoLou was pinned down and moving at such a fast speed that he couldn’t open his eyes due to the painful wind.

Immediately, Luo XiaoLou complained with Source of Consciousness power about 125, “You bastard, what the hell is going on? Why did you die just when I needed you? Is it a habit?”

If it wasn’t for the temporary problem that 125 had just had, he would never have left the energy swords he had worked so hard to make there. At least they all had his name on them, and there shouldn’t be anyone else but him who could make that kind of energy sword here, so Luo XiaoLou wasn’t particularly worried.

125 angrily returned, “Dead- dead machine?! How do I deserve that? I was just out of control for two minutes. That’s not the same thing. You can’t insult a proud exotic beast mecha!“

“Stop! I don’t want to discuss your dignity right now,” Juo XiaoLou took a deep breath, and then asked, “Just tell me what’s really going on.”

125 calmed its agitated emotions and recalled, “I don’t know what happened. But at that time, all of a sudden, I felt an energy that made me extremely sick. Coming from the sky directly from District A. In that instant, my AI control suddenly failed. But that’s almost impossible! In this hellhole, I’m active because of my exotic beast genes and the energy box doesn’t even work.” 125 mumbled, “Wait, did that energy have an effect on the exotic beast gene?”

“But I was fine,” Luo XiaoLou was also confused.

125 added, “Let’s not look into that right now. Right now, we need to think about your safety.”

Luo XiaoLou didn’t dare to struggle. At first glance, this person didn’t look like a good person. Moreover, he didn’t understand why this person would come all the way there to kidnap him.

After another five minutes, the ghostly man reached a wetland surrounded by low shrubs and only a few scattered tall trees.

After throwing Luo XiaoLou to the ground, the ghost-faced man looked at him twice, took out a rope and tied Luo XiaoLou’s hands and feet together. Then he kicked Luo XiaoLou before placing him under a tree.

The ghost-faced man pulled out a box-like object, took a few shots of Luo XiaoLou, then clicked and contacted someone else, “I’ve got the kid’s family. I’m sending you the photos. You’re in charge of contacting the kid. Mn, don’t worry, I’ll definitely waste him.” With that, Ghost-face ended the call.

At this moment, a strange laughter suddenly rang out around the field.

Ghostface didn’t even move, just said flatly, “You’re here.”

“Sure, but did you say waste him? Not your style, huh?” The person who came over seemed to appear out of thin air. He had sparse blond hair, and for some reason, his face actually looked distorted.

The ghost-faced man snorted, “It’s just an expression. When I do things, naturally I have to cut off the root of the grass. Since that brat is here, I don’t want to leave.”

“Hey, what about that poor little guy you caught? Why don’t you give it to me?” Huang Mao smiled wryly.

The ghost-faced man slanted a glance at Huang Mao, “Give it to you? He’ll be all the more pitiful, and he’ll die a horrible death. But, whatever, just remember to kill him afterwards.”

“Don’t worry.” Huang Mao assured.

They turned to look at Luo XiaoLou on the ground. Their faces changed and they grabbed their heads. All that remained was a pile of clothes and the rope that had tied him up.

“This can’t be?! Someone shouldn’t be able to escape from under both of our noses!” The ghost-faced man was furious.

Huang Mao bent down to check the ropes and the intact clothes and frowned, “This person seems to have disappeared into thin air. Unless he can do cartilage kung fu, he definitely can’t escape the way you tied him up. But isn’t that kind of kung fu just a legend?”

“Well, let him live. He won’t get far. We’ll leave one of us to wait for that kid and the other to chase after him. There aren’t many people who have made me lose face this much,” the ghost-faced man grumbled gloomily.

Huang Mao’s mouth flicked open and he took a whip out, “Okay, don’t worry. I’ll make sure to get him back for you.”

“Don’t kill him. I’ve decided to do it myself,” Ghost-face instructed.

Huang Mao wandered off. He searched so carefully that he didn’t even miss the low shrubs.

On a small tree less than two hundred meters away from the two, there was a nest of a not insignificant bird, called the White Treasure. This type of bird was small to medium-sized, with white feathers all over their bodies, and fed on some insects or small animals.

For some reason, today, the young of this nest of White Treasure birds were chirping unusually happily.

Huang Mao searched the tree, circled around and left.

After a long time, there was movement in the nest. From the midst of the five or six cat-sized young birds, a white droopy-eared head, not unlike that of a bird, poked out.

Several of the young birds gave another joyful, enthusiastic squawk and began to peck hard at the little animal, one of them even trying to open its big mouth to swallow the white animal that was about the same size as it.

“Oh my God, he’s gone! Go!!! Get out of here! Eew, they’re drooling too much!” 125 groaned.

“…I’m more miserable than you, okay.” Depressed, Luo XiaoLou watched as Huang Mao left, while being shoved back and forth.

The smallest bird had taken Luo XiaoLou as its own, covering Luo XiaoLou’s head with its furry wings and chirping proudly.

Luo XiaoLou couldn’t help but curse at having such a thing happen to him. This man obviously wanted to kill Yuan Xi. He wanted to send a letter to Yuan Xi. But the issue was that he had no idea where Yuan Xi was. He didn’t even dare to revert to human form. Actually, he didn’t have much of an advantage in this wilderness area, whether in human or beast form.

Team Yi was discussing strategy as they moved forward. Shortly after entering the Western Mountain Region, they hunted a few large prey. The whole team was excited, it seemed that they should be able to deliver a good result this year.

However, at this moment, a shadow suddenly flashed in front of them, and in that instant, something white flew straight in the direction of the team’s Yuan Xi.

Yuan Xi grabbed it with his hand, and it turned out to be a paper ball. Yuan Xi’s eyes narrowed, and he looked twice in the direction the person went before opening the paper ball in his hand. The moment it was opened, he saw Luo XiaoLou tied up, with a map attached underneath, demanding Yuan Xi go and pick up the person alone.

The Yi family only saw Yuan Xi’s face darken as he crushed the paper ball.

Li Jay leaned in and asked, “Hey, what’s going on?”

Yuan Xi said coldly, “I have to leave beforehand. You guys continue. I will come back for you.” Saying that, Yuan Xi pointed his toes to the ground and a shadow flashed, then there was no one left at the spot.

Everyone in the Yi family remained frozen. Of course they knew what Yuan Xi was capable of, but wouldn’t this speed be a bit too exaggerated.

Li Jay, on the other hand, felt like he was about to freeze into a block of ice. The cold air emanating from Yuan Xi’s surroundings was too powerful.

“Why did Yuan Xi leave?” Xiao Qiao asked.

Li Jay shook his head, “He didn’t say, but did say he would come back.”

The people of the Yi family looked at each other. Some had begun to be dissatisfied with Yuan Xi’s departure, but they knew what he was capable of, so no one complained. In this world, the strong were already worthy of special treatment.

The Yi family team marched on for another half hour, and a group of people hurried over head-on.

Ino was stunned, looked at the leader and saluted first, “Your Highness, Second Prince.”

The second prince helped Ino up and quickly asked, “Where is Yuan Xi?”

“He left earlier and said he’d be back later. What do you want with him?” Ino asked.

The second prince frowned, “His family was kidnapped and the perpetrators went to the Western Mountain District, I suspect it’s a plot against him. It’s impossible to stop the ancient martial arts tournament now, so I want to save his family as soon as possible.”

Li Jay was speechless before he finally cried out, “They kidnapped Luo XiaoLou?!”

Xiao Qiao turned to Ino and said, “Second Young Master, my brother and I need to help. They are our friends. Please forgive us.”

Ino snorted and said slowly, “He’s also a foreign aid to our Yi family now. There’s no telling who this kidnapping is targeting. Let’s go together.”

Xiao Qiao and Li Jay were pleasantly surprised and even a little touched.

The second prince, on the other hand, just smiled slightly and then led the search in the general direction that Yuan Xi had left.

They could only go in the general direction. No one could follow Yuan Xi’s movements under that kind of extremely fast pace. Because they were concerned about Luo XiaoLou’s safety, the second prince and the others were very anxious.

Luo XiaoLou was anxiously nestled in the tree, and before he could think of what to do, 125 already proclaimed, “Hey, God, Yuan Xi has come to rescue us!” The voice was full of surprise.

When Luo XiaoLou looked up, he was shocked to see that there was already a man standing next to the ghost-faced man.

“You’ve captured my man?” Yuan Xi swept a glance at the ropes and clothes on the ground and asked coldly.

The ghost-faced man suddenly felt a chill pass over him, one he only felt when he was in extreme danger. What was going on today?

Luo XiaoLou likewise felt as if something was wrong with Yuan Xi’s state and he snarled quietly in Yuan Xi’s direction.

Just as he tried to jump out of the nest, Yuan Xi suddenly turned his head towards him, and that glance pinned Luo XiaoLou there again.

Luo XiaoLou stared intently at him, and when Yuan Xi was looking back at him, Ghost-face couldn’t withstand the immense psychological pressure and struck first while Yuan Xi’s back was turned to him.

Almost as a reflex, a faint silver light crossed the space between them, and the ghost-faced man had fallen backwards with incredulity and despair on his face.

A move that killed him, so clean that there was no chance for avoidance.

In the meantime, Luo XiaoLou got rid of the over-enthusiastic young birds, jumped out and ran towards Yuan Xi, but before he could take a few steps, he was picked up by the skin on the back of his neck.
