Luo XiaoLou had a profound feeling that many things come with a warning.

Because he worked either at school or part-time seven days a week, Luo XiaoLou had maintained the habit of going to bed early and waking up early. On Saturday night, however, after taking care of young master Yuan Xi’s daily affairs, Luo XiaoLou did not go back to his room to study online and sleep, but instead carried some materials into the study.

Yuan Xi saw this and one of his feet, which had already entered the bedroom, was withdrawn and he followed Luo XiaoLou into the study. Luo XiaoLou gave Yuan Xi a puzzled glance. He had already changed into his pajamas and it was time for him to go to bed, so what was he doing in the study now?

Yuan Xi naturally dominated the best sofa in the study room.

Luo XiaoLou didn’t correct him, but in this apartment, Yuan Xi had much more status as the master than he did. Luo XiaoLou’s mouth twitched as he took a second look at the textbook in Yuan Xi’s hand. What the hell was Yuan Xi up to?

Yuan Xi quickly noticed Luo XiaoLou’s glance, and with an overwhelming desire, straightened the book, then looked up and said arrogantly, “I know you’re obsessed with my appearance, but there’s no need for you to be so passionate and unrestrained. Focus on your studies.”

Are you really studying?!

Holding back the roar that reached his mouth, Luo XiaoLou made a good gesture of apologizing, “Sorry to bother you.”

Then with difficulty, he hypnotized himself to ignore the existence of the guy in the room and began to organize the information in his hands.

Sketching out what he didn’t understand in recent classes so that he could continue to have his free tutor Yates explain it on Monday; and sorting out the Grade 2 basic parts he learned today from memory, and after today, God knows how much more he’ll remember.

Luo XiaoLou now knew the importance of this information. If there were very few Grade 1 mecha parts on the virtual web, Grade 2 were even rarer, especially if it was systematically organized like this.

After an hour, Luo XiaoLou rubbed his forehead. Ah, it seemed that nothing had happened, he needed to return to the virtual network to learn Grade 1 parts. However, it seemed that it was becoming more and more necessary to buy six hundred Grade 1 parts.

Now, learning the theoretical knowledge of Grade 2 parts requires a lot of materials of Grade 1 parts. When he started to organize that room assigned to him by old man Yan, he would have to assemble the parts that were piled up haphazardly. Without a little hands-on experience, his success rate in completing the task within a month would be even lower.

Where better to get this, then? Did he really have to spend a fortune on it?

Pondering over the problem, Luo XiaoLou’s hand unconsciously took the notebook on his desk. Then, looking at the pen in his hand, Luo XiaoLou prepared to calculate how much he would need to spend if he bought all the parts.

It was a rare paper notebook that seemed to be the same one he had brought out of Luo’s apartment before. In an era where e-books were popular, such a notebook felt very dear to Luo XiaoLou. He flipped through the first page, and before he could plan his work funds, he saw a sentence.

[I didn’t realize until now that this was the truth. The world is already divided into three or nine grades, and it is true that one should not dream of things that are not of one’s own grade, that are above one’s station. In addition to this regret, in this life, I have no other attachment to care about things. May I never see you again in my next life, Ling Xu.]

Luo XiaoLou was stuck there for a moment, his mouth opening wider and wider. What does this, what does this even mean?!

The familiar handwriting made him want to deny that it wasn’t written by the old Luo XiaoLou.

Luo XiaoLou instantly thought that when he first came here, the original body was committing suicide. If his arrival was excluded from the accident, the original owner had actually succeeded in committing suicide.

Did the original body owner and Ling Xu know each other, and were they enemies? No, no, look at this tone, this is a dying for love. According to this, the former Luo XiaoLou seemed to have committed suicide for Ling Xu?

While Luo XiaoLou was perpetually curious as to what kind of gossip history was involved, could he not be shown a text like this after he had just made an unconscious gesture of affection to Ling Xu — he really didn’t mean to help them wait for the elevator, even though it was ignored — ?

God, this play is a travesty, okay?

Luo XiaoLou was shocked and embarrassed. Ling Xu arrogantly ignored him during the day, but the sarcastic look was still very obvious. God, what had he done? What kind of person would Ling Xu take him for, a stalker who remained shameless even after being abandoned and despised?

“I feel that it is necessary for you, as your master, to explain the meaning of this passage and the reason why you are looking at it so fondly,” a voice said coldly.

Luo XiaoLou was startled and looked up to find Yuan Xi standing next to him with a gloomy face, as if he’d been planning to do this all along — Luo XiaoLou had only seen the words no more than a few seconds ago, and Yuan Xi was already here without a sound, or perhaps he had been here even earlier.

“The meaning of this passage? But why do I have to explain what this means to you?” Luo XiaoLou mumbled. God only knew, he wanted to know more about what the damn sentence meant so he wouldn’t do anything embarrassing in the future.

When he found out that Luo XiaoLou didn’t even explain as obediently as before, Yuan Xi’s face became even darker. He tugged on Luo XiaoLou’s collar and picked him up easily, gritting his teeth, “I asked you something, all you have to do is answer. What is your relationship with Ling Xu?!” Yuan Xi felt very angry and uncomfortable, a feeling that had started when Luo XiaoLou had happily taken that notebook into the study.

But he wasn’t sure what was going on. He had seen the words in that notebook the first day he moved into the apartment, so why was he only starting to feel angry now? Of course, none of that mattered. All that mattered right now was that he was uncomfortable, and no one wanted to feel uncomfortable.

Luo XiaoLou was thrown on the couch when he finally realized that something was wrong with Yuan Xi. He immediately gave up the struggle that could have been ignored, while frantically explaining, “It doesn’t matter! I promise I have nothing to do with him at all.”

Yuan Xi’s nightgown had come loose as a result of his rude movements, revealing a lean body with delicate, fair skin that seemed to be the perfect combination of beauty and strength. Luo XiaoLou immediately averted his eyes after one glance. This was even more dangerous than Yuan Xi’s current movements.

Yuan Xi, however, didn’t let Luo XiaoLou off the hook. His legs were pressed against Luo XiaoLou’s body, one hand easily gripping Luo XiaoLou’s hands, the other hand clenched tightly into a fist. Was he going to brutally beat him up?

“So, what you’re saying is that you think I’m illiterate and can’t understand the meaning of the love poem you wrote?” Yuan Xi roared with murderous anger, his eyebrows bunched up and full of hostility. He looked really pissed. His eyes were red, exactly like a furious and frenzied beast, pressing Luo XiaoLou under his paws and opening his bloody mouth, ready to rip him apart and swallow him.

Luo XiaoLou cowered, as if he had felt the pain of the fist hitting his body, and he cried out in despair, “No! I really didn’t write him a love poem. It wasn’t a love poem at all — why would I write a love poem? I, I must have been crazy to write such a paragraph. But I promise, it would never mean anything else!” Why is Yuan Xi angry? Luo XiaoLou didn’t have time to figure it out, but if he didn’t explain anything, Yuan Xi was already angry enough to kill him!

Fuck, so in addition to a negative EQ, was there something wrong with Yuan Xi’s comprehension skills? Which eye did he use to see that it was a love poem? Had his S-Rank genes taught him grammar to this extent?

The anger and coldness in Yuan Xi’s eyes gradually receded, and his face clouded over as he stared at Luo XiaoLou for half a day, his anger finally easing.

When Luo XiaoLou was surprised that Yuan Xi had spared him, Yuan Xi abruptly ambushed Luo XiaoLou and leaned in close to his ear, so close that Luo XiaoLou could feel Yuan Xi’s hot breath on his neck.

“Listen, I don’t care what was there before. You’re my slave and will always be, don’t just hook up with anyone out there. I hate lusty slaves.” Yuan Xi ordered through gritted teeth in Luo XiaoLou’s ear.

Luo XiaoLou cringed, unable to control his trembling, and replied, “I haven’t, and I definitely won’t do that.”

God knows, he was the one who suffered the most because of those unclear damn things in the past.

He would never have anything to do with Ling Xu again. He couldn’t care less about what happened before, but he could at least grant this body’s original owner’s last wish. He and Ling Xu were students at the same school, and it was an exaggeration to say that they would never see each other again, but he could promise to ignore Ling Xu forever.

Yuan Xi looked down with a sunken expression at Luo XiaoLou cowering on the couch. Like a wild animal considering what to do with its prey under its paws, Yuan Xi decided Luo XiaoLou was apparently very cooperative; not daring to move, exposing his most vulnerable parts, his neck and abdomen, in a gesture of submission.

Yuan Xi narrowed his eyes at Luo XiaoLou’s fair neck, which was exposed through the gaping collar. Yuan Xi was clearly not one to begrudge his own people, so he bit down on Luo XiaoLou’s neck. 1

Luo XiaoLou cried out in shock. Was there such a way to abuse people?!

Yuan Xi frowned at the noise. He wasn’t biting hard. He didn’t really want the fragile slave to be substantially hurt at all. After all, if he was injured, his food, clothing, housing and transportation would become very troublesome.

Besides, even Yuan Xi himself wasn’t quite sure why he had the urge to bite Luo XiaoLou. After licking back and forth twice with his tongue, causing Luo XiaoLou to tremble even more violently, Yuan Xi finally straightened up, “I just don’t want my slave to bear any marks of anyone else without my knowledge, and you’d better be self-conscious about that.”

“Of course, I assure you that you are the only thing on my mind from now on, and in fact, I have no time for anyone else.” Luo XiaoLou replied immediately and cooperatively, though the last sentence was a little bit of a complaint. The beast’s control and possessiveness over everything he owned — even a slave — and all that really was awful.

Yuan Xi stood up, scanned the notebook on the desk, and walked out of the study with a cold face. He said to himself: I don’t care about this totally ungrateful slave’s past!

Luo XiaoLou rolled over and climbed up from the couch, stood there for a moment, threw that notebook into the innermost corner of the bookcase, and left the study. Because of Yuan Xi’s inexplicable madness, he was now covered in cold sweat and had to take another shower.

He had thought he had figured out the best mode of getting along with Yuan Xi, basically if he just obeyed all of the guy’s orders, nothing would happen. Now it seemed that he would have to add one more point, maybe absolute loyalty? Maybe in the future he’d have to report to this guy about who he wanted to like or get married to or whatever, and then have him decide.

Luo XiaoLou was in tears. Even though it had spanned over 4,000 years, he was still in an arranged marriage!

Yuan Xi is confused by feelings! Even though he is S Rank, his reading comprehension skills are low. 📉

The history between original LXL and Ling Xu was revealed a little! Poor LXL died of a broken heart… I feel it’s going to be more unsettling as the story progresses.
