Which do you prefer? Modern, interstellar, fantasy or historical and why?
Addis: I lean towards fantasy and interstellar because I find modern novels boring. If I wanted to deal with modern stuff, in wouldn’t read. I also find historical novels too much. As in, I have to search up too many real life people to understand references to certain things. I also don’t like novels that use the three Chinese names. It gets too confusing to me. Please stick with one name only.
for me, it’s fantasy and historical.
fantasy as my escape from the real world. you can basically put anything in it. beautiful landscapes, mythical creatures, magic. and yeah. dwarf women with beards!
as for historical. i just love to learn things from the past. it might be just a fiction, but some things are real. clothings, houses, habits. they are all fascinating.
Fantasy and interstellar. I love the escapism, weird and wonderful characters, magic etc. Travelling between inhabited planets quicker than flying across our world…. in my dreams!
I like historical for the different way of life and culture, but prefer fictional; if I wanted to read about real people I’d get a biography or factual account.
Modern doesn’t grab me, unless there is a really different/ quirky/ eccentric or unconventional main character involved.
