Addis’ Answer: I only read spoilers if I really don’t like the novel and I am just reading the spoilers to say that I “finished” it.
I’m impatient, so I do read spoilers, just to know where the stories will take me.
If the writing is interesting enough, I’d still finish the whole story, if not, I know the ending already anyway and count it as ‘finished’, too.
Hmm, it depends. If the story is interesting and I want to read how the story goes/ends, I read it. If the story is bad I read the spoilers and consider it as *finished*
Sameee. I like to be surprised and see the characters developed. Sometimes curiosity and impatient did make me look further ahead few pages or even chapters before read it fully. But never the ending. Unless I didn’t like the characters so bad or how the story goes. There’s 1 novel, “BL”, I read halfway till I can’t stand it anymore, the characters and the story. I can predict how the story will goes which didn’t make sense for me. I skip to the ending and it is exactly like I thought, dump it.

But if I don’t like the novel and just wanna skip, then I agree with Addis! haha honestly just to get rid of the novel on my “to be read” list, but sometimes I just leave the novel unfinished lol
I don’t think I’ve ever actually sought out spoilers. If the story is bothering me, I will check if there’s a “happily ever after” tag but that’s about it.
I don’t like to read spoilers because if I know the ending or how the plot goes then I won’t have the interest or drive to read the novel further but for some novels I read spoilers about at what chapter the main leads get together.
Yes I read spoilers, it doesn’t take anything away. I would just be curious how it happened. The only spoiler I avoid is character death. I want to be surprised about that.
