Has manga/anime inspired you to learn the language?
Addis’ Answer: It has for me. I started to learn Japanese when I was 14 because I wanted to hit the point where I could easily watch anime withou relying on the subtitles. I’ve gotten pretty good at it and can have anime on in the background and still know what’s going on.

yes! although i’m not too fluent, but i can still understand some convos. not too good with kanji 😅 so mostly i learn from anime and drama cd.
I have to be honest, I don’t really follow either.
I have picked up vocabulary in a couple of languages through watching dramas though.
I would like to learn more, but I’m someone who doesn’t study well alone, to remain committed. Annoying, but how I am and I know it.
Yup! Seeing anime has made me want to learn japanese. Now I can more or less understand it while seeing anime.
Yes, having to wait for completed translations has gotten me to try to learn Mandarin! It’s…很慢
yes. but im not regular, there is only 24h in a day so it takes me long.
I love anime, as I love reading too, I understand a lot of nihongo words, but I’m not good at kanji, anime helped me a lot in understanding the pronunciation and understanding of words.
I… tried? I learnt few phrases and some words here and there but I’m not big on what school calls “self-directed learning” so I don’t do too well if I’m left to learning on my own devices. But all the words and phrases in Japanese that I roughly know come from listening to songs lol
Yes, I started learning Japanese when I was in the late 20s. From there on, I have been purchasing Japanese manga for then Chinese version. 🙂
