Question of the Day: Day 34
Angst is not my cup of tea, so, although objectively gdc was good (I read it here), I’m not a fan. I also couldn’t get pass the first 5-10 chapters of hob and 2ha. Also most of Priest’s.
I don’t like wuxia/xianxia in general, mostly because they tend to be super angsty.
I read to have an escape from reality, not to have reality slapped on my face. ._.
Any Priest novel tbh. Everytime I try to read one of her translated books, I wind up stopping just a few chapters in and going to NU to check the reviews. They just don’t vibe with me at all.
GDC aside, I don’t recall if I’ve read anything super popular. But Maybe Quickly Wear the Face of the Devil. Is that popular? Bc I hated it after like arc four or five, continued to hate read until arc nine before giving up and leaving a disappointed comment that people are still replying to. lmao
priest novels?? i know i read some priest novels, i just can’t remember the titles. 2 of them were adapted into live action. plot and storyline just not my cup of tea.
Yeah! I watched one of the shows since it was on Netflix. It was an alright show so, like GDC, I went to find the book on NU. I didn’t like it at all lmao.
I just assumed Priest is a popular author since one of her stories was made into a show.
It’s most likely to be the contrary. I absolutely love cliches and a fast romance almost reaching love at first sight, but I’ve met people who thinks that doesn’t make sense

blind concubine (?) if i remember the title correctly. i just HATE bad and tragic endings.
i mean, if the story plot is tragic enough. i hope to see the main couple to have a happy ending at least.
I don’t absolutely hate it, I just don’t like it. It’s Escape the Infinite Chamber because the author’s writing style probably doesn’t get along with my taste. I don’t feel the chemistry between the MC and ML at all.
I don’t know if everybody loves it, Black Lotus. I just hate the MC, ML and 2nd lead male. Drop it halfway, can’t stand it anymore.
Btw, I read Blind Concubine and I like it actually, especially the ending. Different from any other novels with the same theme. After all, the emperor was very cruel to his blind concubine. And because he’s blind, he suffered twice with so much fears. The emperor deserved the outcome. Sometimes not happy ending leaves you stronger impression and more real.
