You are a concubine. How long do you think you would survive at the palace?
If based on sexual prowess, quite some time… otherwise, seconds 😆
If I play my cards right maybe 3 to 5 years, 10 if really lucky. I’m not going to vie for the attention of the emperor or whatever that’s too risky. I’ll act like a fool so that that they don’t suspect me too much. Keep my ears peeled for gossip and whatever powerplay is happening. Win win if I get send to some Pavillion where I can be alone.
it’s either a few minutes or till the end of what dramatic love story is going on, depending on how petty the noble consort or whoever is.
but let’s be honest, i’d live just for the opportunity to eat delicious food and not do anything LOL
Honestly, the cold palace will be my future. Which I don’t mind, I honestly can’t with the backstabbing and power plays. I won’t last long.
You have to give readers some environment of the family the concubine was living with just this question was not enough scenario to answer. But..if I can choose I never be concubine to anyman.
Maybe a year or more if I’m just a nameless background face. If I’m the main character, my luck dictates that the story would automatically become melodrama or tragedy. 😆
It’s one of 3 things
1. I runaway from the palace (if lucky, I escape if not, we’ll, dead)
2. End up in the cold palace (and probably be poisoned or given silk. Still dead anyway)
3. Get caught in a scheme and still get killed
So I’ll most likely die in a month
