Do you feel a thrill when a cannon fodder (characters that are only used to move the plot along) gets face slapped or killed off?

The cannon fodder must be a true challenge. If they’re only there for 3 to 5 chapters for a weak reason, what’s the point of them being in the story?
A true adversary makes you work to get rid of them, making the face slapping awesome.
Sometimes! It depends on how atrocious they are. What gives me a real thrill is being surprised at an outcome.
if they ever deserved to get hit, sure. but if it was never explained why they deserve it or if it was for a good enough reason, not really (for eg fodder doesn’t give food to a hungry MC but MC kills him in the end, doesn’t really seem justified honestly)
Face slapping can be really fun to read. However I usually only really enjoy it it when the character has just been introduced and deserve their comeuppance. When they drag out the face slapping or it is undeserved, it has less impact in the end for me, it usually drags out too long especially when in the long run the character has no influence on the plot!
i dont like much cannon folder, i prefer a big villain. Sometimes they are as cute as a good guy.

After all it’s in the name: Cannon fodder. There and gone with a flash. Why invest emotions, even delight, if they serve no purpose other than to show off how cool/morally superior the MC is?

Yeah absolutely! But I think that part is sometimes stretched too much and becomes boring.
I do if they have been well written. If they go through the usual trope, then eh, I don’t pay much attention.
Only if they are nasty characters, otherwise no.
I also wouldn’t describe what I feel as a “thrill”, even in those circumstances, more like satisfaction.
Not really it depends on the plot, I rather like the cannon fodder slaps the villain.
