What’s your favorite type of ending? And do you want the novel to have an epilogue/extras? (i.e. where everyone is happy, open-ended, or straight to the point.)
Addis’ Answer: I definitely love an open ending in the fact that it makes you imagine the characters living their lives happily but there are also some novels where I really appreciate that the author goes out of their way to write an epilogue 80 some years into the future where their names are still known to those alive even after they have died.
For me, happy ending is a must. For some reason, open ending bothers me, like reading unfinished story. I also enjoy reading the epilogue and extras about characters that I have followed for dozens if not hundreds of chapters.
I like a conclusion to a story, whether neatly sewn up or slightly open (know MCs are alive etc, but not necessarily what they go on to do).
I enjoy extras if they benefit the story, especially if on supporting characters that I grew to like, or played a key part in the novel.
it depends on the story. generally, with the type of stories I like reading, of course a happy ending maybe sprinkle in some cute extras or something~
but if it’s one of those dark/ominous stories that upsets the general audience, the ambiguity of the ending can help with the favourability of the story and I love discussing possible endings to those stories with my friends~ great way to remember an otherwise dark story
I don’t like open-ended much because it makes be feel something is missing. Happy ending is a must! And it will be good if there are extras
I like a definite ending especially if it’s in the extras. Also like foreshadowing in the main story, like in the future this will happen because a character did this or that. Opening endings are okay if it fits the story, but good happy endings are awesome.
Life isn’t easy, the good guy doesn’t always win and it seems like really bad people never get their comeuppance in real life. So I enjoy reading happy endings in stories.
I love a happy ending and pretty much won’t read one with bad ending 🙂 especially when the story has been intense with lots of emotional ups and downs I like the extras to see what the happy ending looks like!
HE is a must, of course.
But I like a few epilogue chapters after the main conflict is resolved. Either with some slice of life stuff, some extra spicy chapters, or a general universal loose ends wrap up.
If it ends too abruptly, I feel lost.
I like happy ending and the extras because you get to know what happen to the characters mostly if you like them a lot. Thank you all your team for your hard work❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Depends on how the story plot, sometimes the open ending give me extra time to imagine but happy ending is still good too.
Ending depends on the kind of story it is. Side stories are okay especially when you are curious about a character’s pov
