Q: Have books or shows you loved ever influenced you to buy something referenced in it? Or reminded you of it?Ā  (Not merch)

Ā

For example, your favorite character is described to wear a red & white raglan tee, so you buy one when you see the opportunity. Or, you often read them eating X instant noodles, so you are tempted to try it yourself.Ā

Sweets: I’ve bought clothes before that reminded me of PokĆ©mon game protagonists that I liked

kirio — Idk if it counts but white peach oolong. It’s always been my fav but reading Deliberate Mark made me buy so many more white peach oolong flavored foods šŸ˜‚

gaeatiamat —I absolutely must make scallion pancakes. Every time they are mentioned I start to drool.

  1. Uncooked instant ramen straight from the pack as a snack… and guess what… I liked it! šŸ˜†
Adding stuff to cooked instant ramen, which I do wuite a bit now, like egg, cheese, tuna, spring onions etc.
Soju, which I love now (prefer ‘classic’ to flavoured).
Desperate to try tteokbokki and too many of the dishes mentioned in foodie novels on here, to mention!

  2. i used to CRAZY over grape f*nt*.

history (that you don’t care, but i’ll still tell you): me and my friends loved everything about the prince of tennis. each of us had a nickname derived from our favorite chara.
the ā€œochiā€ in my user name was given by my friend not only because i’m the shortest in the group. it came from ā€œochibiā€, nickname of echizen ryouma. he was my favorite character, and he drinks grape ponta (the anime version of f*nt*)
    so…

i even bought that F sport brand hat too.

  3. ah yeah. it so crazy. i bought a lot of stuff to cook samgak, maki ect. my last pan is square, guess what for ? and of course i bought lot of bowls. But, i still can’t eat soja !
