Chapter 14: Come On, Let’s Have Fun and Learn Together!

Translated by Addis of Exiled Rebels Scanlations

Han Tian got up in confusion. “Qiao Xi, what’s wrong with you? Why are you so angry?”

Qiao Xi looked distraught and remorseful. “No, Han Tian, don’t you think this request is too unbelievable? Why should you accompany him for such a small amount of money…”

Qiao Xi didn’t know how he should go on.

Although Qiao Xi could not use the art of “charm” for some reasons, it did not mean that he did not know what charm was.

Out of nature, ah no, out of the need for research, he still studied the textbook carefully and knew what charm needed to do.

After coming to the earth realm, with the developed internet, besides the dry descriptions in the textbook, he also knew various expressions used to refer to the act of sexual intercourse—for example, what Han Tian just relayed, “stay with him for one night”, meaning that this person was asking Han Tian to do such and such with him!

Although Qiao Xi couldn’t use this technique…although Qiao Xi couldn’t use the charm technique on Han Tian, but!

The thought of Han Tian being forced to do such and such with someone else made him feel like his whole body was going to explode!

“Ah, I guess you don’t feel too good about it either… This kind of behavior of refusing to work hard for two years and only coming to work on the thesis outline overnight before the final pre-defense…” Perhaps shocked by Qiao Xi’s face, Han Tian once again lowered his head, with a look of remorse on his face.

“Eh?” Qiao Xi froze.

“Thesis… Outline?” He repeated the words mechanically.

“Right. He is already in his third year of study, and will soon be pre-defending, and now he doesn’t even have an outline.” Han Tian sighed. “I originally thought that this kind of muddling through should really be scorned. However, if I see him not graduating, I feel sorry for him…”

Despite Han Tian’s explanation, Qiao Xi still felt that something wasn’t quite right.

If it were me, I would have found a good reason to keep this man by my side.

“No.” Qiao Xi stubbornly shook his head with a look of disbelief. “Did he really just ask you to help him with his paper? Why can’t you do it during the day, but it must be at night?”

Han Tian also looked helpless. “Actually, he said all day at first. But I’m too busy during the day…”

He looked up with a difficult face. “Plus he bought the watch with his money on the spot, so it’s not good for me to refuse him now…”

Looking at Han Tian’s hesitant and torn look, Qiao Xi guessed that it must be a very difficult thing for this child with a pure soul to renege on his promise.

Tsk, there was no way out.

Qiao Xi clenched his teeth. “How about this? Anyway, my villa is very empty…you and your classmate can come to my house to spend the night and work on his thesis outline.”

Han Tian’s eyes lit up. “Eh? So you think it’s okay?”

Qiao Xi licked his teeth. “Ah. No problem.”

Han Tian was a little confused. “Huh, but I don’t quite understand why it’s okay to go to your villa but not to write a paper with him alone?”

Qiao Xi pinched his eyebrows. “This, later, ahem, I’ll tell you when I have the chance.”

He stared at Han Tian’s eyes. “Anyway, just trust me! Also, don’t get too close to this student except for this paper! If he asks you why you must come to my villa to write your thesis, just say, just say—I was very moved to hear that he is so diligent and good at his studies, so I am willing to provide a special place for you to study, got it?”

“Oh…” Han Tian nodded and pointed to the wooden box on the table. “Ah, by the way, this watch…”

Qiao Xi glanced at it and wanted to say, “I don’t want it,” but on second thought, he thought it would be more difficult for Han Tian, so he could only snap the box shut and say, “Mn, I’ll take it. Don’t ever think about this watch again, just pretend it never happened, okay?”

Han Tian nodded obediently. “Mn, I know.”

That day, until he went home, Qiao Xi was still inexplicably annoyed.

The only consolation was that [Guidebook] Han Tian’s Capture Value had risen by 2 points to “18”.

“September 11, cloudy.

My prey is just too stupid. How could he not even be able to recognize such a simple trap?

I’m really worried that he will be abducted.”

After Qiao Xi wrote this paragraph, a small hope suddenly sprang up in his heart: Will this booklet give me some clear guidance? For example, would I be advised to buy Han Tian and tether him to my side or something?

However, this time, after half a day of scrolling, there were still only two words: [Very good].

Even the punctuation marks were omitted.

Qiao Xi: …Okay, you waste of dim sum.

Han Tian made an appointment with him to “write the paper at home” at 7 p.m. the next day.

By 6:30, Qiao Xi was already walking back and forth in the foyer.

During the day, Qiao Xi had hired a cleaning lady to reorganize his already clean room.

As for himself, he changed into a design-filled, expensive-casual outfit after a lot of thought, and wore what was seemingly a low-key watch, but was actually a collector’s edition Vacheron Constantin, on his wrist.

I don’t know what kind of tasteless rich man Han Tian knows, but I can’t lose to him from the momentum!

7:00, not a second too soon, the doorbell rang.

Qiao Xi deliberately slowed down a few seconds before slowly opening the door.

The first thing that caught his eyes was Han Tian’s smiling face. “Qiao Xi, we’re here, sorry to disturb you.”

For some reason, this “we” sounded extraordinarily harsh.

Qiao Xi squeezed out a smile. “Come on in, make yourself at home.” At the same time, he thought he was not moving and looked at the person next to Han Tian.

This person was probably of mixed race, with long, light blonde hair carefully tied behind his head, and a pair of rimless glasses on the bridge of his slim and tall nose.

To Qiao Xi’s surprise, this “thug”, like Han Tian, was simply wearing a white shirt and jeans, with a black wristwatch on his wrist, and his face was not a bit arrogant, but rather calm and relaxed, even with a bit of bookishness.

He looked Qiao Xi in the eye and smiled gently. “Mr. Qiao Xi, I’m sorry to bother you. I am Han Tian’s classmate, my name is Miquel.”

Tsk, even the way of saying things was somewhat similar to Han Tian.

Qiao Xi suddenly felt that when these two people stood together, the picture was…quite harmonious?

Realizing this, Qiao Xi’s face became even more ugly.

The corners of his mouth twitched. “Don’t be shy, Han Tian’s ‘friend’ is my ‘friend’.”

Miquel’s turquoise eyes flashed with a hint of surprise. But he just smiled politely, didn’t say anything else, and stepped into the living room after Han Tian, looking around without making a sound.

The living room’s soft decoration was obviously customized to the owner’s taste. The fabric sofa piled with cushions, the walnut coffee table with cream-colored tea set. On the five-drawer cabinet in the same color, there were large bouquets of flowers in clear open glass vases.

The entire room had a bright vitality, yet seemed vaguely lazy.

The second floor of the villa naturally had a special study with excellent sound insulation. But Qiao Xi didn’t intend to take the two up there—who knew what would happen once the heavy wooden door was closed?

He lied without changing his face, “Upstairs is my bedroom, there’s no place to study. Why don’t you write your papers at the dining room table?”

Han Tian, who was sitting at the table for the second time, pulled his laptop out of his shoulder bag and looked natural. “It’s fine, it’s spacious.”

Miquel also pulled out a chair and sat next to Han Tian—sat near him, but actually separated by enough space for at least two people. He frowned and stood up again, ready to drag the chair closer to Han Tian.

However, Qiao Xi was already one step ahead of him, and naturally slotted in between them, half sitting at the table, propping his hand on the tabletop and asking with a smile, “What would you like to drink? Black tea or sparkling water? Or maybe coffee?”

Miquel looked at Qiao Xi’s delicate eyebrows and picturesque red lips, and was slightly stunned for a few seconds before smiling lightly. “Black tea will be fine.”

Before Qiao Xi could say anything, Han Tian already stood up and said to Qiao Xi, “I’ll join you. You haven’t made your own black tea at the cafe.”

Miquel hurriedly stood up, seemingly panicked. “Then I’ll do it…”

By this time Qiao Xi had already dragged Han Tian towards the kitchen. ” Yeah, I really haven’t learned how to make black tea yet, so you can teach me.”

Miquel stood still, looking at Han Tian, who was grabbed by Qiao Xi’s arm but did not look angry, with a face full of incredulity.

Very funny. QX is obviously jealous, but doesn’t seem to understand quite what that is.
HT is either feigning ignorance about it, or happy to help dispel QX’s worries, or really is totally unaware!
Miqel has obviously never seen HT allow any one to behave like this around or toward him, and He’s almost waiting on QX! Love it.
Will he report this to the higher ups though?
Thanks for translating and editing.

Miquel, will you be their wingman? I know Han Tian knew what he was doing when he said “stay with him for one night!” It was to get a reaction out of Qiao Xi! 🤣

Poor Miquel! Being suspected by Qiao Xi and being used by Han Tian. 😂 My, even he was enchanted by QX. He’s panicking by being served by HT, his cold and fierce superior, is so cute! HT really is a good actor, he nailed QX soooo easyly. Later, when QX read his textbook, he’ll realized everything he wrote there is actually about he himself. 😄 I really like all the characters in this story. All are so fresh and funny in their own each way.
